Shangri-La II to Host the Tobias SpeedSTR's and NORA Small Block SuperModifieds

(Tioga Center, NY) Shangri-La II Motor Speedway track manager Amy Stilson is pleased to announce that the Tobias SpeedSTR's and the Northeast Organized Racing Association (NORA) Small Block SuperModifieds will be on hand for special shows during the 2009 racing season.
The Tobias SpeedSTR's will be at the speedway on Saturday, August 1st. These machines are 4-Cylinder powered midgets that compete on both the dirt and pavement surfaces (pictured). The SpeedSTR's will have practice sessions, heat races and a 20 lap feature event.
The NASCAR stars are at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsyl vania the weekend of the SpeedSTR's show at Shangri-La II Motor Speedway. Ray Evernham and Erin Crocker are competitors on the tour and you cannot rule out the chance of special appearances being made.
The Season Finale on Saturday, September 12 will be an event you don't want to miss as the NORA Small Block SuperModifieds will be on the card. Practice sessions, heat races and a 30 lap feature event will be held.
"We are excited to be having the NORA Small Block Super Modifieds and the SpeedSTR's on board for special events." said Stilson when asked about the events.
Stilson also mentioned that Friday, May 22nd will be the start of Friday Night Test Practices that will be held from 6pm - 9pm weekly until the end of the season. The car with the fastest lap in each division will get a $100 bonus.
