Don't forget the new O'Reilly/NCRA Oklahoma modified and Oklahoma sport modified divisions will kick off their inaugural season on Saturday night, March 21, 2009 at Elk City's I-40 Speedway in Elk City, Oklahoma. Not only will it be the season opener for both new NCRA divisions but also the first time ever in the series 39 yrs. it has made an appearance in the city.
The NCRA Oklahoma modifieds will compete for $1000 to win with just starting the feature finale paying $200 to start for those twenty drivers taking the green flag. All "B" feature drivers not transfering to the "A" receive $100. Entry fee is $50. Steel heads are required however, aluminum heads will be permitted with 50 lbs. weight added to the front of the motor.
The NCRA Sport modifieds will be competing for $500 to win and $100 for the twenty car feature finale. All cars not transfering from the "B" feature will earn $50. Entry fee is $25.
More race information can be found on their flyer at http://justrace.myfastforum.org/about287.html and can be found soon on the front page of my website, on the race banner at www.oklahomatidbits.com.
Gates will open at 3:00 PM with racing set to begin at 6:00 PM. Pit passes are $25 while grandstand tickets costing $8. Children ages 6-12 are $4 while kids five and under are free.
The track will have an open practice on Friday night, March 20, 2009, begining from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Pit admission is $10.
I will post more detailed information and lodging/restraunt information in the weeks leading up to this inaugural event.
IF you are planning on competing but are not running for NCRA points, please email me your name, car number, chassis/engine and sponsors anyway so that I may have this information for the track announcer. If you are running for NCRA points, please email me your profile so that it can be posted on the NCRA website. That profile form and all rules pertaining to NCRA can be found on the series official website www.ncraracing.org.

And so that you all will know, right now tracks that have submitted dates are Elk City, Meeker, Outlaw, Caney and Wichita. We are awaiting for at least one more from Elk City. We are also awaiting dates from Enid and pending interest for dates from Creek County and Siloam Springs and maybe one or two more tracks.
