Kind of looks like they just may be gone. What judge is gonna rule against the fair board. I am kind of excited about this.

In response to dspitz,, right on the money, Dennis. ANYBODY,, ANYBODY, other than LME could have the possibilities of YES, making Wilmot a mecca "like no one has ever seen". The crowds will still come, with a little paint and TLC, the place could look worthy again, get them damned 4-5 "other" classes out of there, hire a qualified announcer, in the mold of Jack Biddison (he knew the drivers and CARED about the fans), etc. The rumors have been flying for 2-3 years now, what will happen on 2/23? I was there for Wilmot's hey-days,, at BOTH of it's tracks. Cars parked all the way up to my old grade school,,, those days! EVERY WEEK!! The Wilmot Speedway is still the IRA's "home" track, Wilmot's "old track", the Kenosha County Speedway was the IRA's birthplace 41 years ago,,,,, find a way to pay the "boys", and bring em back. The IRA is a class act,,, the people would come. Maybe not with the 2009 schedule all set,,, but what about 2010? 2011? There were 3-4 TBA's on the IRA schedule the last time I looked, make those TBA's at Wilmot! I'll be at that 2/23 hearing,, hoping to get a turnout from the ones who still care about Wilmot Speedway's well-being and future.

I had planned to attend the court case as well. Not sure if that will happen though. I am really interested to hear what the conflict is over. It would seem that if the issue is lack of payment, there wouldn't be anything to dispute. You don't pay the rent you are out, same as any rental type arrangement.

Wilmot, at one time, led the nation in car count for a weekly show, maybe for a couple years running.

car count?  who cares?   i'll take quality over quantity any day.   dump of a facility and crappy weekly shows.

You had both.  Car count AND quality.   If you don't like it there, don't go.  Simple.  I used to go ALL the time, until the Bozo's that have it now, got ahold of it.  Hopefully the new people can take the 'dump' and bring us 'good' weekly shows.  In the long run, I'd rather have a dump with some Sprint Car action, then having nowhere to go............

It was a great weekly program befroe the hillbillys took it over. They ruined a good thing there with the 410s. Went out there 1 time for a weekly show last year with my boy and it was a joke. Not the sprintcars but the IMCAs cars and some of the drivers. We went to all the local IRA stuff there. Good shows then. Lets hope Wilmot stays open for years to come.

Heard a rumor that the rednecks are finally out at wilmot. ive been waiting for this for years. WILL somebody confirm this and also tell us there plans on the track? heard 9 nites of action so does that mean ira once a month and what else will be racing there. 2009 and for how long? should i go get a sprintcar or what..... lets make this a hot topic people........

the new regime has 100% of my support. can i get on a board. my dad was on that committe that came up with those rules that were talked all around the house first. denni you were part of that too i think. wilmot is a goldmine just waiting to be nursed properlly. between milw, chicago, madtown and rockford we have roughly 7 mill for population. we aught to be able to get some of those people there. my mom has success in the fan department.

peace and love. no worried slow mo

All that praying has finally paid off! I'm not very religious but I've been on my hands and knees and know it looks like there might be one last light at the end of this tunnel! I don't care who's the new blood as long as its not HILLBILLY ENTERTAINMENT OR SLOW MOTION ENTERTAINMENT! Congrats to whomever you are and I wish you the best of luck at whatever schedule you run! This might be Wilmot Speedway's last chance so good luck. I will be there in full support. REPO, OUTIE!

You prayed for that? Wow! Hopefully a loved one won't get ill. How would you handle that?

Hell yeah I prayed for slow motion entertainment to get the boot. You remenber your post a few back that said something about a dump and crappy weekly shows or did you for get? Why do you think the show sucks, hillbilly entertainment ran a ton of racers and fans out of there with their ridiculous shennanigans. I could give example after example but unless you got robbed by buying a pit pass you probably wouldn't understand. I don't know why K.W is in full support but if he is they should bring him in as president and ceo. It could be another business venture.

i agree!! as soon as the word is out that lme is gone people will come back. i cut my teeth at thattrack. i would kill to see it back to what it was in the mid to late 90's.. 45 to 50 sprints on any givin sat.. no other track can do that. Winker has to be lookng down in shame right.. come on. there has to be someone out there that has the funds to boot the hillbilly's out!!

i know first hand that he does not!!! lets hope he's not on the take! money persuades many people. i am one that dont believe that money is the answer. it only helps you get a good ride. i create my rides with hard work and determanation. my penn state education is paying off in these crazy times. a 23 yr old man was murdered on a street corner here and his murderer got off. justice has a funny way off showing it's face. oh and i just got out of jail for a traffic violation. they know me there now too. ; )

WHAT HEARING?? I drove down from West Allis, got to the Courthouse at 1:10 PM, found Rm. 209/ Judge Schroeder,,, and found NOTHING on his docket for an LME Eviction hearing at 1:30,, or any other time! Also checked the other Judge's various dockets, and found nothing! What the hell is this, can someone tell me? A wasted trip, wasted gas and wasted time. At 1:30 there wasn't a soul in Rm. 209, or anyone roaming the halls. So,,, NOW WHAT?? Better luck next time?? Tim Barty

Wow, what's the big secret? Somebody must know what's going on or who's promoting next year.
