Thanks (but no thanks) to Nascar and their wonderful driver development program, he is not only not racing in Nascar, but also not racing anything open wheel. At least Yeley and Clauson made enough money with a fender to run their own open wheel teams once they got kicked to the curb.

I am shocked he never "made it" in NAPCAR land. I truly thought he was going to be a great one...

Same here. His talent or ability to wheel a non-wing sprinter hasn't gone anywhere though either - yet he isn't racing... anything. He is probably only 25 or 26... at most? Come on back Boston!!

Too many of the "Developement drivers" simply just quit racing when they lose their deals. It makes you wonder if that's why they started racing to begin with, especially the teen-agers who race on daddy's money. Once they realize they're not going to be the next Jeff Gordon, they (or the money-provider) totally lose interest in the sport.

Boston was/is one of the truly nice guys in the sport and got the right breaks with the Gordon connection...but it never panned out. I'd like to see him back on dirt - I'm betting he can still get it done.

NASCAR and its money have had some good effect on open wheel dirt racing but i am tired of seeing all the young talent sucked out of the sport. From Tyler Walker to Rickey Steinhouse Jr. seems like every time a good young driver comes along they get sucked up by NASCAR and placed in some boring ARCA car, or truck where their talents are smothered by corporate sponsors and TV deals. Boston Reed is a great open wheel racer and i would not mind to see him join his brother in a winged 410 sprint car in the state of OHIO

I doubt it, running as a development driver for Roush there is a good chance he will be replacing Jamie McMurray in a couple of years.
