an embarrasing combination - a complete farce.

probably worse is the tradition that NEEDS TO DIE - which is pitting big 10/pac 10 in the rose bowl. the bcs should not be bound in that fashion - it should just be the 10 best teams. - just as well - automatic bid need to go - the big 10 snuck 2 teams in because the bcs did not want to give out more than 1 "at large" bid to a "non BCS conference" "BCS buster" team. sorry for all the parenthesis - i am meaning it as sarcasm.

espn - with all their contracts with this shitty conference - and their loe affair with it being this nationwide powerhouse conference - as piss poor as the big 10 has been - headed by the biggest farce in football - Ohio State - i sure do look forward to see how the "worldwide leader in sports" is gonna spin this when Texas Hooks the Buckeyes (more like ream em in the ass). i predict - and HOPE - texas just obliterates the most overranked team in the nation. 52-13..........

the big 10 provides the biggest example of whats wrong with college football.......both on the rose bowl farce - and consistently getting 2 teams in the BCS when the Mountain West may just be a better conference than they are. its significant to point out though - exposure - the mountain west doesnt get to play their games to nationwide audience - the big 10 does.

i obviously hate the big 10 conference. and furthermore - Ohio State. lol. watching this rose bowl i just had to let a rant loose....

Untill we get some type of playoff system or a plus one then this is what will happen. Penn St. did when the Big 10 no matter how sorry they might be they have the right to a BCS slot. Alot of the BCS has become a marketing deal, why do you see the games so spread out, for the all mighty dollor.

Would you rather see an Ohio St. vs Texas or a TCU vs Texas if you are sitting in Nome, Alaska and have no idea of how either teamed played during the regular season? It is all about the traditional powers keeping up with the Jones's.

All the talk about how bad the defense in the big 12 is and then watching PSU get torn up by USC was bothersome to me. I didn't think USC had a very good offense all year long. That in mind, I am really getting anxiuos to see what Texas and OU will be able to do in thier bowl games. Maybe all the defenes for these big games are gonna be this way? Hell look at the OSU game. Some pretty good scoring going on there I thought. Gotta give credit where it's due. Oregon did a hell of a job on em. The fast defenses are gonna start playing today so hold on tight.

Yes, I am enjoying all these games. Even if my picks aint winning em all. I think I'm 19&8 now. Not sure.

You guys are right about the playoff or one more though. Maybe we'll see it in our lifetime a couple times.

I had mixed reactions on OSU. While I hate that team to the north, I think it would have looked good on OU if OSU had won - since we beat OSU. Same with Cinncinati Thursday night, I was really hoping they would win since we beat them earlier this year.

TCU helped out and won as did Nebraska. Now if Tech can take care of 'Ole Miss today. While it would look good for us, I really can't pull for Texas, kinda hope they get beat.

All USC done was give people something to bitch about, stating the way they handled Penn State that THEY should have a say-so for the National Championship.

BUT things are looking up on the ESPN college front. Since they don't carry the BCS games, all their focus is on Brett Favre once again and they will no doubt cover every move and bathroom break he takes during the winter months.

Texas Tech and osu made the big twelve look like crap. But I am with you and would like to see Texas get beat but not by much and the SOONERS kick the crap out of Florida.

52-13 Ohio State overated. Looks like Ohio State gave Texas a better game than OU did. Better coaching and Ohio State would have won

cant argue with that. i dont know if the buckeyes played above themselves or texas below themselves or what.......

but the end result was a great game. and it still works out magnificently for OU FANS. another big 10 team lost (granted not in pathetic fashion but) - which makes that conference (and espn) look a lil bad. and texas won - making the big 12 look good - but they played just bad enough to all but eliminate the argument they should have been chosen above OU.

oh - and did i mention it was a hell of a game?

i just hope OU doesnt embarass themselves thursday...
