(405) 740-4769 Eddie Martin Chassis Seminar/Annual Kansas Trade Show Coming Up FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 26, 2008 - Midwest City, Oklahoma - Stillwell, Oklahoma's Eddie Martin of Big Chief Chassis and Elite Shock Services' Carter Gerlach from Elk River, Minnesota will be hosting a one day modified and stock car seminar on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at the Clarion Hotel in Wichita, Kansas. Both classes will be held in conjuction with the 21st Annual Kansas Racers Auction & Trade Show scheduled at the Kansas Coliseum - Pavillion II on Saturday and Sunday, January 10-11, 2009. Martin is one of the most recognized and successful modified drivers in the country with over 400 victories across the United States. But his success is not limited to just modifieds as he is also the inaugural winner of the annual $10,000 to win Street Stock Nationals in Enid, Oklahoma back in 1996 along with numerous other big stock car shows. Martin also builds Southern Sport Mod chassis via his Big Chief Chassis where Texan Keith White picked up the 2008 national championship. Carter is a former employee of QA1and supplied shocks for 4 WISSOTA National Champions in 2008. He is considered by many as one of the best teachers in the country when it comes to shocks. The stock car portion of the seminar begins at 12:00 PM Noon with Martin covering the following pertaining to IMCA stock cars, street stocks and hobby stocks: complete front end geometry, caster, camber, toe, rear suspensions, leaf sprints, coil springs, trailing arms, spring rates, weight percentages and location and much more. Gerlach will cover shock valving, shock locations and all effects shocks have on racing and much more. Then at 5:00 PM, the modified seminar will cover complete front end geometry, bump steer alderman, toe, caster, chamber, complete rear suspension geometry, four link, z links, two links, bird cages and indexing, spring location, pull bars, panhard bars, spring rates, tires, stagger, pressure, wheel offsets, weight mounting and location and much more. Gerlach will cover shock valving, shock locations and all effects shocks have on racing and much more. Entry is $100 for the stock car portion of the seminar and $100 for the modified seminar while the cost is $150 for those wishing to attend both seminars.
