Try www.indianaopenwheel.com It's full of die-hard non wing fans.
I know the Indiana Sprint week draws over 50 cars for each event with all the big names (non-wing). Plus, they go to the best non-wing tracks in the country. I have never been to the Sprint Bandits tour but what I have heard and read, it also appears to be good racing. The only negative thing about Indiana Sprint Week is they take a two day break in the middle of the week.

The 2 days off arent that bad. Theres plenty of other racing things here to see on the off days. I usually have friends in town for sprintweek, and the couple days off gives us time to do some touring of the local shops after I get out of work each day.

I haven't done the Sprint Bandits tour, but I have done a couple of Sprint Weeks. There isn't any quesiton in my mind. You start seeing the same folks around town and at the track. The break isn't bad, either. When I did it the first time, one of the off days was used to make up a rained out show at Putnamville. This past year, it was a three day break, and the time was well spent hanging out with some folks I know in the Indianapolis area, as well as going to the Speedway and museum. The extra day was nice to, uh, recuperate from some local festivities, too.
There are some great tracks, and Terre Haute is back on the list. Kamp is still in the mix, but I do like to take pictures there, and one of the best heat races of the series had to be when Levi did slide jobs on just about the entire field for the eventual win. Just remember to bring rock and dust protection.
The high car count this past year was around 50, and the low was about 42 or so at Haubstadt at the end. All of the racing was memorable, including the dramatic and emotional Dave Darland win at Kokomo to the best feature of the run at Bloomington, with Coons' bold move on the outside. I have a whole slew of pictures of Sprint Week on my site. I am ready for the next one, too.
