Noooooo, no more drama please! Not having to babysit the message board is one drama I don't need added in my life right now.
Can we at least wait 'til, uh, next race season?

Back when the stands were packed and standing room only, there was a need for ushers.

WHAT?!!!!
You didn't see the pics from the Martha Stewart Home and Garden Show?
Just kidding, hoped you like those. They came from a lot of sources that love the sport.

Thanks, Brian26. Love the dirty pics! lol!!
I do like to see all the old cars and tracks and people. I wasn't around back then, but I enjoy learning about the past, especially our local history. Btw, who is(was) the driver of the 26 car in your icon photo? And the 76? And also, what year was that pic with the ushers at SFS, when it was packed?
Let's Go Racin'!!

Let me guess. You were walking hastily toward the trophy girl, tripped, and wiped out the flag stand?

26- My Dad, Carroll Satterwhite(my all time racing hero), also Jearl Meeks, and Jearl Wayne Meeks Jr.
76- Harold Leep
The ushers -Must have been around 69-70 is my guess.
I was around some back then, but i was too busy watching that 26! Also looked out for the 38Special of my Uncles(both cars were 6 cylinders). Never even knew who the other drivers were. Just loved the cars. Back then it was a kick-ass car show every weekend.
The stockers were mostly 55-57 Chevies! It was hard to find a good time to go eat a hot dog! That may be when they invented the intermission.LOL

hey cheese I think I was about 6 years old when that happened. Ask your Grandpa who it was and let us know. The cool thing about the hobby stockers was the center steering.
