Here are a couple of well known southern Minnesota drivers that I scanned from my negatives.
Jack McCorkell at Knoxville in 1979 driving the Ed Smith 44 sprinter and Dave Bjorge in his 77 car at Des Moines in 1981.
From '79 to '84, since I was living then in Iowa. I went all over the midwest going to hundreds of late model
and sprint car shows.
I went to Texas and Florida for the winter
shows and got more photos including pavement late models and east coast
modifieds and to dirt tracks for late models, sprints and the big block
mods. I also got a couple days at Daytona and Indy.
These negatives and
slides have been in storage for 25 years before I recently got them out
and started digitizing them before they deteriorated.

Thanks for sharing Pete. If you have any Minnesota Sprint or Late Model photos that you'd like to display on my History shoot me an email. I've got one collection pending that I still haven't had time to create a section for so I need to get to work on that pretty soon. The gotomn history section is a compilation that started in 1997.

Nice picture of Bjorge. Spent many a weekend watching him race. My father in law was his crew chief.
