STRONG RUMOR - I'm hearing that Danny Lasoski has been tagged as the new driver of the Casey's General Store #6 for 2009. However, there is a big glitch to this arrangement. My source states that Lonnie Parsons has named the Dude as the driver but this arrangement may change. It seems that Casey's General Store is prepared to pull their sponsorship from the Parsons ride IF Lasoski stays on as the driver. This may change if Lonnie can convince the Casey's people to stay on board but as of now, Casey's may pull the sponsorship if the Dude pilots the car. Stay Tunned.
Whats the story behind this?

I would think about pulling sponsorship as well. The guy is a big name driver and draws a lot of attention....but in a negative way. I've been around this sport for my whole life and I have always seen him come across as an a**. He is arrogant, mean and moody the best I can tell. He may be a cool guy if you know him but the general public only sees interviews and some t.v. coverage of him and he definitely does not help himself in those moments. I wouldn't be associated with the guy if I were a sponsor.

Attn: SFS fan
Who the HELL are you??? Have you ever spoken to Danny??? He would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. You only see what T.V. shows you. Next time he is racing somewhere you are go up to him and he will never turn anyone away.
What is your real name not SFS Fan???
Roger

I agree Danny is pretty cool. I wouldn't say he is arrogant he is confident. And at track that is how you should be. I was just wondering why you would not want one of the best drivers to represent you. He would win alot more races unlike Paul McMahan.

This year at the Nationals you saw a guy with no ride trying to be as humble as neccessary to get by. He is down right now and needs some help, of course he's going to be nicer on t.v.
I said that I only see what is on t.v. no need to point that out again racergirl named roger. (that's wierd)
I also said he may be a cool guy if you know him. I was just saying that is the impression I get when I see him. I talked to a guy at Grahams one night who said he was one of his good friends and helps him out and he said Danny was a very nice guy. One night at an ASCS show in OKC my cousin, who raced at the time, and I went over to him to say hi and he wouldn't give us the time of day. He pitted all by himself and wore a duster coat during driver introductions where he stood by himself on the end of the line. And if I recall, a lot of people booed him. Maybe I'm not the only one. It was just my opinion.
Have him call me and I'll get to know him and maybe that will change. Again, just what I see on t.v. and hear in the racing community, that's all. Did anyone see the Nats where he fought with his own family on national television. That was cool.
Oh, I'm Jeff Stevens, not sure what that matters, but you asked.

As far as Danny not having a ride you are wrong there he has 4 race ready cars plus 2 just about ready in his shop so I would say he has a ride just his own stuff. Your entitled to your opinion and i respect it but he may have been having a bad night so thats why he might have been that way. If your ever a I 44 speedway go by and ask Morgan Moore what she thinks about Danny Lasoski she will tell you about when he went out of his way at the shootout went over to her and wished her luck while she was in the staging area fixing to race because they had struck up a friendship earlier in the day. Everyone has opinions and thats fine but he really is a pretty decent guy.

I think I would ask officials what they think of "The Dud" at the racetrack. Of course drivers are going to seem pretty cool during track and race interviews, it is the kosher thing to do. But you get some around fans and you get them around officials and - not so much.
