No one picked Jesse... kind of forgot about how well he ALWAYS runs out west. Congrats to him, looked like he really gave it a ride. My Oval's pick DG had himself in position to win it again, only to have the racing gods take it all away. That's why we watch, you never know.
Levi Jones wins over Coons and Sherman. Its going to be a great show, who do you like?

I think Coons will win the championship, but he won't risk the championship by charging hard enough to win the race.
Levi Jones in the 410's and Jeremy in the 360's.
Josh Ford will run well in both classes.

Well like I had said, Jesse was due, way over due. I picked him at Calistoga because of his great runs at Manzy but he came up just short both nights. He took some risks at Perri's that anyone should think twice about at Manzy but I've seen him come from all the back at Manzy to find that the race was just a lap or two short. Manzy owes him big time.
Jeremy could win it, he has before. Darland runs good there, when he's not flipping all the way down the front chute..LOL he's won it before as well. JJ Yeley might be a long shot, but it is possible. Jerry is probably one of the smartest drivers out there and If he can win it he will, but. If the track is right Corey is about as smooth as they get out there, in fact him and Darland look like twins when things mesh right for them both at the same time. Maybe Levi, but I just don't see it. If Shuman gets some breaks and a good car, well it's possible. Anyway it shakes out, I see maybe three, at least two AZ boy's in the top 10 Saturday and I hope some of the California drivers fill in some of the gaps.
See ya tomorrow night,
Kenny

Kenny I saw that on the highlights, Jesse did take some "risks" for sure! That slider in 1-2 that he had no business driving away from was the luck he needed, but give the man credit for taking advantage of a good car and closing the deal.
I picked Levi because I feel it will be a big horse power car that wins it, as you know it takes alot of motor to pull all that gear at Manzy. The track will be heavy during prelims. Levi got lots of motor...
I am always pulling for the Cali boys personally being from San Diego, but I made my pick so no turning back now.

Hay Ziggy and ImissAscot
Jerry is great. It seems like he has improved a ton over the last three years, but maybe he was always this good I just wasn't watching. I would like to see a local guy take the championship, I am from San Diego, but I lived and worked in Phoenix for a few years racing; so any one from AZ is local to me.
Jeremy is on fire, he's going to win something this weekend for sure, but I agree it won't be the 410 Western. We'll see, I will be beered up tomorrow as soon as I get off the plane. It's on

PS. Maybe I should change my handle to ImissSpeedway117

Not many drivers have had a season like the one he has had this year. Wow. Dean Thompson had a spell where he was unbeatable, but Jeremy has had a season we won't soon forget for sure. What great cars he has had this year every single week. If he wins it, I smile and drink another beer cause I will have to hear "I told you so" from my dad all the way home.

Jesse was sick and tired of second place so he pretended he was the gas man in his early years..win, break or crash! He wasn't the only one, some of those slide jobs looks like they just shut there eyes and hoped for the best.
I think that if the tracks smooth's out like it can get at times the old pro's will have the advantage but if it's rough the youngsters seem to have a little more foot than brains and that can work, or not LOL

Hockett has a lot of skill as well a BIG BRASS ONES. Two or three years ago I saw him in a CRA heat race at Manzanita. He slapped the wall hard exiting turn 2 but didn't lift at all going into turn 3. I happened to talk with him afterwards and asked how he knew the car was still OK to go that hard into turn 3. He replied that he didn't know what condition the car was in. He just kept his foot in it and fortunately the car was OK.

Id disagree a little bit with you i think Sherman owns manzy.. dont get me wrong about hockett but i think Sherman has the best chance at a sweep tonight.. He had some tough breaks last night..
