Has anyone ever built a 360 ASCS Ford motor? I saw one once at Sharon Speedway and it kind of surprised me. If no one ever built any do you have any info on who has built them and how they compared with the SBC?

Thank You

Johnn Cressman from Hartford S.D.. as far as numbers on the dyno go,it is very consistent with the chevy, and his version is also lighter than the chevy. Guess we'll be able to see how it performs at East Bay in January

Travis Rilat runs one periodically. Actually, the one that he runs was the Devil's Bowl championship motor a couple of years ago. Very fast motor, owned and built by Derald Kannady - Travis' crew cheif.

What is the part number for the approved head? Or can you run ASCS with gaskets or something? I did not think it was possible to run a Ford ASCS motor, because I could not find an approved cylinder head for the combination.

27-223 - You cannot run gaskets at an ASCS National show. Only approved cylinder head and I believe they've made the Regional events the same way. I think it's something along the lines of you can't finish inside the top 3 or top 5 or you're dq'd. Or maybe you're allowed 1 finish inside the top 3 or 5 before you have to run the required head. I'm not 100% but I know it's not like it used to be, you can't slide some gaskets in your open motor and run an ASCS show like you used to could.
