It really is OK for sprint car people to talk to other sprint car people about other subjects. The world doesn't end here. Out-side interests & subjects actually can & do affect racing. Fuel prices, noise pollution, why tracks are closing & fans are losing interest. All these things should concern all of us.
Yes I like football, NASCAR, at my age I even enjoy planting flowers!!!
And yeah, politics does concern me, after tommorrow, hoping I can still afford to race!

guess someone forgot to tell penn st. you had to beat iowa. chompin over all this stuff i broke it down - along with the help (or vice versa lol) of the local sports radio station here in OKC (wwls sports animal). 6 conference winners get automatic bids to BCS games. everyone keeps raggin on the big 10 - hey at least they have 2 good teams. what the hell does the ACC or Big East have???? LOL. yeah thats what i thought. pollsters are gonna keep having to find creative - and dare i say - bullshit - ways to keep a big east team in the top 25. pitt did help themselves today tho - although louisville would - and did - get beat by half the MAC.
anyhow after those 6 conference winners are in. there are 4 at large bids. now realistically - the Big 12 and SEC will get 2 of those. who could really argue THAT at this point - although things can change no doubt. but...... that leaves 2 spots open. me and the radio guy agreed that those 2 spots would be between Boise St. - Utah - and Ohio St. I mentioned that if Utah and Boise both won out - both should be in a BCS game - especially Utah - as the Mountain West is prob better than the Big 10 this year. but he thinks because Ohio St. "travels" well - they will get the nod. i cant say he is wrong - but i can say that pisses me off. this rose bowl horseshit of big 10 pac 10 is sports retardation. to give the big 10 the same # of BCS bids as the Big 12 and SEC would be a travesty. as 4 of the 6 teams of the big 12 south would absolutely MURDER Ohio St. and i would bet that if played in Waco, TX - Baylor might beat em too. ok maybe not baylor - but my point is - the NCAA is a complete disgrace. of sporting institution that embarras themselves with their archaic ways and greedy politics of trying to keep the money up front (kinda like some tracks and series in racing - why else would ncaa go above and beyond themselves to cater to all these teams that "travel" well - which is just a nice way of saying "we're gonna spread the wealth amongst ourselves while we cheat fans out of potentionally BETTER bowl games.
and while i'm at it. funk the big 10. not a conference in the world i hate more. it doesnt even have 10 teams. it has 11. why not add one more and make 12 - 2 division with a conference championship game? oh yeah - they enjoy having the decked stacked in their favor every year! It's even obvious who the other team is they should add to make 12. yep - the school who enjoys more singular benefits to their football program than any other - Notre freakin Dame. more like Notre LAME. they already play half the damned big 10 anyways - although if you notice - its usually the BOTTOM HALF!!!!!!!
its alright tho - there are many bowl matchups that pit big 12 teams vs. big 10 teams ----- and i predict a complete f-n sweep. under the current format - the big 10 will continue to humiliate themselves to the rest of the nation. of 11 team - and their combines non-conference games - the marquee win - for the entire conference! was penn st. over oregon state. yep oregon "we got lucky and caught usc nappin" state.
answer me this. how many non conference wins does the big 10 have COLLECTIVELY over any of the current top 25 teams?????

Holy hell, what a long-winded tirade. You don't like the Big 10, but you could have said that in two sentences. What exactly is the deal with your obsession of Big 10 football?
You bitch about the greedy politics of the NCAA, but then a few lines later complain that the Big 10 should add a team just to have a championship game at the end of the year. Um, the only reason championship games came into play in a few conferences was to soak fans for every last dollar. College football existed for 100 years without conference title games.

Conference domination runs in cycles. Last year it was the SEC, and this year it is the Big 12. The Big 10 will have their turn too, soon. Look for the Big 10 to have 1 or 2 BCS births this year.

Here, let me translate this for you.
The posse, allstars and knoxville are all in Big10 territory. Since you have penis envy over anything 410, everything from those areas of the country absolutely has to suck. You have to take any opportunity to convince yourself that where your at is the place to be and everyone else is simply deluded. The proof behind this is your willingness to argue with Duane(knoxville), BRR(posse) about any subject at any time, no matter their view. Also, how many times have you accused the allstars(Ohio) of a conspiracy against 360 racing? You can't even make an argument about the Big10 without countering your own view.
