The off-season tradition returns, and it's time to start preparing for: The Indy Circle Track Expo 9, Swap Meet * Trade Show * Auction, January 31, 2009 @ the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, IN!

It's one of the biggest shows of it's kind in the entire country, and by far the biggest show in the entire Midwest!! Last year's Indy Circle Track Expo squeezed in over 365 booth spaces, with vendors from 10 different States! This Swap Meet, Trade Show, and Auction (that's right we said Auction!!), will bring together local racers, professional racers, racing business's (manufacturers & dealers), race tracks, and sanctioning bodies all under 1 massive roof! The 67,000 Sq. ft. Champions Pavilion was sold-out (for the 7th year in a row!) last year by the first week of January, leaving many a potential vendor, who waited too long, out in the cold (literally, they wer'e outside). Vendor registration is open, and we have already started receiving entries, both in the mail and online, even before the calendar turned to October!!! So don't delay!

Attention Vendors: You can now quickly register online by visiting our website: www.shoestringracing.com
"You have a good thing going. Thanks for putting it together year after year.
Your entire staff is great to be around. Willing to listen, eager to help; positive attitudes across the board. Be sure to thank each one again as I'm sure you have already.
So we go to the EXPO next year...sounds like there will be room for more new ideas and innovations under a name like that."

Well actually now that you mention it... We have had NUMEROUS requests to do the "complete" show by adding a "Racers Auction"! So after "experimenting" with the Last Ditch Auction back in 07', we thought it might be time to do the real thing! Not by us though, nope. We contacted, and are thrilled to have a real pro in the Race Auction business, Tom Wieck!!!! We acquired a second building (about 150 yards to the west from our bldg.), the Grand Hall, and will do a full blown Racers Auction that will start around 2:30-3pm. Also of note: The Auction is open to any and all who wish to consign, and for our vendors, there will be some "Last Ditch" consignment slots open for you as well!! Just in case you just don't want to take something back home Smile!!! Check out our website for details, or go to: www.tomwieckauctions.com

"I would like thank you for all of your hard work. For us modified guys We don't ha ve a big outlet for our stuff and thank you for giving modified racers a chance with your swap meet. I heard this alot on saturday "all he needs now is an auction to go with this......" Thank you again "
From 4m.net message board; posted by Craig Conyer, Modified Champion

Another part (actually all daySmile of the day will be the return of the Bob Pierce Race Cars "Modified Row"! A whole row of nothing but Modified cars, stars, and parts! We want to thank Bob and Angie Pierce for helping make this happen, and hope all you Modified racers look forward to this as well!! Last year was the debut of "the row", which turned into 2 1/2 rows!!!! Modifieds we're over 20% of the show, and we hope to grow even further on that number this year!!

"The swap meet this past week end was great for us and seemed to be for everyone else. (except we were to far away from the girls in bikinis! (just kidding) We did well and we count on the swap meet to sell parts we do not need to come up with money to buy the used parts we do need. Without the swap meet, we could not afford to race, so I just want to express my appreciation for your efforts."
From a Local Indiana Sprint Car Team

The Fued: Many people asked how we could top last year's roundtable, and quite simply the answer is, we probably can't (unless of course we cut-off a certain person's mic, who shall remain nameless John Heydenre ich Smile. So we thought we might throw a change-up this year, and host a little game show!! Actually we won't be the host's, but 2 kings of historical knowledge on all things fast will be your host's!: Indianapolis Motor Speedway Historian Donald Davidson, and www.openwheeltimes.com Kevin Eckert will be tossing out the questions, and the points (we're to cheap to actually give them any $) in this battle for mental supremacy!! Now as of this writng (10/7) many details are still being worked out, and we ask that you check back for more info! Rest assured though that we will be utilizing some Legends of the sport, as well as some of today's heroes!
The Indy Circle Track Expo's Racin' W/D.O. "Circle Track Fued" Presented by Indy Race Parts & H.A.R.F. (man that's a mouthful).. Which by the way will start at approx. 1:00pm.* You won't want to miss this!!!

"Clay Klepper and wife Jamie were on hand at the Shoestring Swap Meet Show in Indianapolis this past weekend. Klepper said that a lot of leads were generated for some new business and that the show was a success. “Not only did we sell a lot of product on-site, but we also made a lot of good contacts for future work”, said Klepper. “It was a lot of fun visiting with a bunch of old friends from my racing days and speaking with current and future customers.” CK Designs handed out 10% OFF COUPONS to anyone attending the show to promote his dealers ( which are redeemable at any authorized dealer). “I really want to support my dealers which all do a great job. I think this may help drive a little bit of business their way and also inform my current customers of some new products that I have out.”

Also returning will be the very popular "Beast Check Room"! Thanks to Bob & Janice East, you will have a secure place to drop your "goodies", so that you can continue to enjoy the day without having to haul them around or take them out to your vehicle!

Many more announcements will come as the day draws near! Don't forget about our private meeting rooms that are available for whatever you may need.

It's a Tradition: Indy finally has a Swap Meet/Trade Show and now Auction BIG enough for "The Racing Capital of the World"!! Be sure you join us in the Champions Pavilion (and Grand Hall) for all the "wheelin', dealin', good times!!

Make your plans now to either vend or attend... You won't disappointed!
