Tyler Spath is heading home from school @ Ore. State to pilot the Bumgarner #88 at Fall Nationals this weekend. After a great start at Petaluma, 8th quick and a transfer to the A from the heat, Tyler benifited from the pill draw and started on the pole and after two restarts he led the first 5 laps only to make a mental miscue in turns 3 & 4 and turned it around. Needless to say he was a little disapointed. Hoping to improve this week and have a solid finish. Thank You to Bumgarner Racing and all the support given to Tyler, It's been fun.

Is young Tyler related to former sprint car driver Ned Spath?

Yes, Ned Sr is my grand father. He is being inducted into the Legends of ASCOT Hall of Fame this year.

Good news. Best of luck to you this fall. I am hoping to make the "Legends of Ascot" program.
