Why do people use screen names to run other people, drivers, tracks into the ground. Be a man and not hide behind a FAKE NAME!! I am JIMMY MINTER 'AKA'dirtrack234 & I have said my real name many times in this forum. David you can change this, Thanks

get real man (respectfully), it shouldnt be screwed for everyone because a few are wreckless, irresponsible, or disrespectful. those who REALLY are saying very hateful things while hiding behind screen names -------- shouldnt be allowed to screw it up for the rest.

screen names are cool. there are some funny ones. normal ones. dumb ones. cool ones. to each their own. if you or I or whoever have such a problem with names ---- just post your own as your signature. but what you're suggesting is "punishing" everyone for the actions of very VERY few. that aint cool.

besides - when someone starts wanting to know names - they usually dont have the most honorable intentions themselves. yeah it could curb certain types of things - ya know - the TYPES OF THINGS WE USUALLY DONT HAVE ON THIS FORUM - but it could actually cause more problems than it solves. jmho - but i believe its the truth. in the end - who cares? this forum has had a few more incidents than usual recently - but thats to be expected with a large forum with a passionate following that keeps growing all the time. the bad comes with the good sometimes. but hands down this forum still has less of it than ANY OTHER i see at all. the forum has literally a small fraction of the ugliness i used to see back in the day. i think dave has done a hell of a job with not responding with heavy hands about things - most always good measured responses - effective responses.

dave presides over the forum and i'm sure will do what he thinks is best. i'd be suprised if a heavy hand response was taken - considering in the past there were much more and much larger instances - and that didnt happen. i noticed usually when someone took things to the depths of hell - they were just mildly ridiculed and rejected as a joke by most everyone lol. hell - i got this treatment on a lot more than 1 occasion. and it kind of worked to. i'm involved with less pissing matches now than ever before. hell before the political threads got started again - i was gettin damn near flawless LOL.

before i find yet another way to say the same thing ------ what are you referring to? i mean what has you thinkin that would be a good idea? respectfully of course.

jimmessmer is just Jim Messmer.

A lot of you may not know me but honestly I've been going to races at OKC since 1957, which is the year I was born. Born in Aug. & at about 3 weeks old, they were dragging me to races! Damn them! Getting me addicted as just a baby!!

Honestly I can't think of a better place to have grown up around, had some real heros & excellent role models. The friends I've made racing are for keeps, we may argue & cuss one night & the next week help each other get your car back together. Billy South came in the shop the other day, hadn't seen him in years, but it was like we had never missed a step you know?

I got nothing to hide, will help anybody I can & am always here. This is just a really neat deal, it's good to know how people feel & easy to keep a finger on the pulse of the sport. In old times you had to hear stuff through the grapevine down at the coffee shop. This is so much easier. Thanks again David!!

With all due respect "dirttrack234", until this post nobody knew who you were. Your bashing Screen Names and or User Names, so why is yours so generic? The car pictured next to your User Name appears to be #27. What does that have to do with your User Name other than your a Dirt Track fan and you missed turn 1.

I agree with OKCFan, and if you pay attention you can usually figure out Who's Who. I am by no means trying to bash you and I enjoy reading your post here on the David Springer Jr's. Oklahoma Tidbits.

My Screen / User name is stupid but it came from my nieces and nephews, all 14 of em. (started with the first one, because she could'nt pronounce Allen) so I became Uncle A. And since I grew up at Fairgrounds Speedway with nearly all of the current drivers parents, it seemed appropriate since all of the current drivers are my sons, nieces, and nephews age.

Here lately Uncle A seems to have a whole new meaning. lol My post in no way reflect the thoughts or opions of no one but myself.

I'M A MAN, I'M 48 "Mike Gundy"

I still go to the coffee shop to get that important knowledge Jim. I too was born at the race track but it was drag racing in California. My first dirt experience came courtesy of the next door neighbor at about 4yrs. old. Been hooked ever since. I still like the diggers but don't like the intermissions between runs. lol

I sure would like to. I gotta be in Tulsa sunday morning for a livestock show. Still it depends on what time I need to be there. I'll see if i can find out from Jordan what time she shows. I'll probably have to wait til saturday morning when the event schedules are posted at the show. I'm going stir crazy already without racing. Even though we went to Creek a couple weeks ago. I think I'll try some of them burrittos if I go with ya. Get the gas mask ready just in case. Do your truck windows have locks? lol

Screen Names are for those who wish to remain anonymous simply so they can't be Held Responsible for their words and accusations and out right Libellous Slander they spew on an ever increasing basis.

They think its cool and cute to bash everything they disagree with or don't like. Then sit back and watch the crowds forms to watch the train wreck they created. Its a game. Its an Internet curse that many succumb to, like gambling, drugs and Alcohol abuse.

From what I have seen and read from you OKCFan12, you need a screen name!

I posted my real name from the beginning. I back up my words with a bright light focused right on me.

I'm not hiding in a dim lit back bedroom at my moms house, posting trash all day and night on some crappy garage built 90's Apple while chewing beef jerky and sipping' diet coke in blue PJ's, unlike some we all know and ....well like a little.

Mike

Fight to win on the Track, not in the parking lot! I
just love the " Ur # 1. wave " from fellow racers as
we head home to our other lives !
