those cheatin bastards finally got what was comin to em!

those Beavers bite! great win for Oregon St. - but then again - to me this actually makes the pac 10 look even worse. its not like Oregon St. was 3-0 or 4-0. they were 1-2. but this result aint about how good the pac 10 is -------- its about that those cheating bastards finally got beat. i hope like hell that not only do they not make the bcs title game - but the ncaa grows a pair of nuts and takes some scholarships or puts em on probation for the details surrounding Bush/Leinart - and OJ Mayo on the b-ball end. either way.

the Trojan was no match for the Beaver. hehe. that little tailback Rodgers for Oregon St. put on what may end up being the performance of the year. i mean usc had him every play with 2 or 3 guys and he would juke em all to get 7 or 8 yards. the defense played great except for the 3rd quarter - but that Rodgers kid was MVP by far. sad tho - on his last td run he looked hurt bad (ankle) - and another huge blow - USC lost their best defenseive player - a linebacker whose name i cant remember or pronouce. now i hope that Mike Stoops Arizona squad beats em too........

Lets just hope there isn't a letdown in Norman this saturday night. TCU is a pretty good team. I predict an OU win but it could get ugly if they just lolly-gag like the Trojans did in the first half last night. Goes to show, they don't play on sportscenter. It's on the field. The experts, they got this one wrong now didn't they.

Oregon State took control from the onset. They dictated the pace and played with alot of enthusiasm. Congratulations to them and they're fans. The Trojans, on the other hand, were kind of flat and only woke up for a the 3rd quarter. They are still a very good team. To little early and to late.

I agree 100% with you okc!!!!!

There have been so many violations at USC, made public, and nothing ever done by the NCAA. I'm glad they got beat and hope they take a few more losses this year, in my opinion, they dont deserve a christmas day bowl!!!!!!

i agree Bull Slingers (as commish i have to revert to everyone's fantasy name lol) - i thought the differences in the game were very striking. that tailback Quiz Rodgers just stole the show the whole night. you know i thought at the end of the 3rd that Oregon St. was gonna lose - they had 4th and 1 2 different times in favorable territory - and usc couldnt stop rodgers even when they stacked 8 or 9 in the box to stop the run. and man that rodgers kid - wow. they had him stopped so many times - every play he broke at least 2 or more tackles. beautiful cutbacks - and even when they hit him - he found ways to fall forward or push for that extra 2 or 3 yards. made a big difference. Oregon St.'s D Line did really good too except for the 3rd quarter - was getting pressure on sanchez even when only rushing 4. that ended up being the game changing play was the OSU interception ran back to the 2. i thought they had to get the TD b/c their kicking game was poor. i dont blame that back up kicker either - as someone who played soccer for years - and who kicked in football up until high school - i can tell you with certainty that most of those were on the holder. the FG wasnt - kicker just didnt get under it enough, but the missed XP was all holder - laces were further back than out - way to the side - leading to the shank.

it also helped OSU that McKnight had just a completely horrid game. he never did anything the entire night - dropped passes, fumbles, you name it - it happened. the 2nd biggest play of the game - was the pass that USC had picked - it went through his hands - and the OSU guy caught it for a TD. there was 7 sec. left - so that was difference between 3 and 7 pts. - and with the unsteady kick game - who knows.

i love football. watching it on TV you can always see so many things at once. great stuff.

yep Jaydad - the NCAA has turned into as big a joke as Selig and MLB. rivals had a big article that was just completely damning of the ncaa - talkin bout how they have knowingly laid down and even changed the rules so they didnt have to get BCS conference teams on academics violations. they also pointed out the ncaa shooting the "lack of institutional control" charge against OU - when USC was in fact more deserving of that title. there were MANY places and people involved with their Bush and Leinart violations. its just sad - the NCAA rules committee is effectively defacing college sports by ignoring the stuff against major programs - but going after McNeese St. volleyball and Jackson St. cross country running with full vengeance. that article had it right - they will go after those because those school cant afford major defense attorneys and are powerless to negotiate charges - while bcs conference schools in football - look how much money is swirling around these programs - especially TV contracts - like the SEC - 3 billion dollar TV contract with CBS. its all money - and in the end it is the fans fault. fans dont hold any involved to a higher standard - (imho).

well instead of starting a new thread---------

how bout florida gettin beat AT HOME by Ole Miss. blocked XP the difference - great play too - 2 diff guys just absolutely hurdled over florida linemen to block it. i kind of call florida cheating bastards too. but heck - all major programs are probably blurring the line - if not outright cheating. o well.

it was interesting to see Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt go to shake Urban Meyers hand - you couldnt even call what transpired a handshake - it was more like they touched hands - and then Meyer just stormed off as Nutt just stood there trying to talk to him. not the first time Urban Meyer has showed his sportsmanship - or lack thereof. by all rights - it wasnt houston nutt's fault that Meyer made the call to go for it instead of kicking the FG. but - that is a crippling loss because it was in SEC conference play. if "big" teams keep losing - a 1 loss team could sneak into the BCS Title Game - thats a long ways off - but that loss doesnt bode well for florida making it to their conference championship game in the SEC. thats a game you have to win - Ole Miss is nowhere really near the top of the SEC. with teams like LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Bama, Vandy, Tenn, - that really is the best and deepest conference in football. although Arkansas really does suck. that was a waste of a televised football game .........

Yeah man, Alot of football left. OU impressed me saturday but still need to work on the special teams. Kickoff coverage is lacking discipline. This was a pretty good tale of how good they are. Also need to work on the running game some. I would think that they could get at least 100 yards in a game. Did they try the outside enough? I don't know? Looks like the tailbacks are running with feet to close to the ground. Get the knees up a little. If I were grading the team they'd get an A-. But hey that's still real good so I'm not griping.
