Jackson Speedway This Saturday

The racing action continues at the Jackson Speedway this Saturday September 27th for the 1st of two fall extravaganzas. We will also be racing next Saturday October 4th.

This week's races are brought to you by Livewire Printing / pilotracewaynews.com of Jackson and Poppe's store and car wash of Fairmont.

Hot Laps are at 5:00 with racing to follow. Pits will open at 2:30 and the Grandstands will open at 3:30. (We will be unloading enclosed trailers as normal) Grandstand Admission $15; Students ages 6-12 are $6; 5 and under are Free.

The classes in action will be as follows:

Jackson Speedway Touring Sprints ($1,200 to win)

Open 305 Sprints ($500 to win)

IMCA Modifieds ($1000 to Win and a IMCA Fast Shafts All Star Invitation Qualifier)

IMCA Stock Cars ($500 to Win)

B Mods and Hobbies ($350 to Win)

Hornets ($200 to Win)

Other Notes:

The IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars will both be IMCA sanctioned races, and State, Regional and National Points will be awarded.

The B mod and Hobby Stock rules will be the same as the Jackson Nationals. In the hobbies we will allow b hive springs. In the B Mods basic 9-1, 360, 2 link rules.

The Hornets rules will be basic 4 Cylinder rules similar to what is run at Fairmont, Worthington / Slayton. No V-6's. NOTE: you must be 14 years old to run a Hornet. If age looks questionable, we may require a birth certificate.

Thats what I call back gate promoting. Isn't there a few more classes you could add, pure stock, mini sprints, deuces, powder puff, 410's? How could it be a Jackson Touring series race at Jackson? Wouldn't you think it would have to be at another track to be considered a tour race? To many BS classes for me to sit thru, I'll be at home watching the WoO at the Grove.

Well it's the end of the season so why not add acouple extra classes to see how they run? The races will start earlier and some drivers in these classes are done for the season. ("How could it be a Jackson Touring Series race at Jackson? Wouldn't you think it would have to be at another track to be considered a tour race?"wink HUH? Well you must not know but they have run at other tracks, does the (ascs-WOO-or for that matter any other series) stay at the same track all year?

We also got another shipment of Kids Club T-shirts in so we will be giving away FREE kids shirts while supplies last, and also have a big Candy Toss Scheduled.
