Roger will be receiving a much needed kidney from his father, Brian, on November 11th, 2008.
The kidney transplant will take place in Portland, Oregon at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). Roger must stay up in Portland for 4 weeks after the surgery to give blood samples three times a week, so this will be a financial burden on the Crockett family.
Brian is expected to be able to return home, within one week after the surgery, to Creswell, Oregon.
The Roger Crockett Medical Fund has been set up through bank of america for donations. You can chek out his blogspot- http://crocketttransplant.blogspot.com for more information, or send an email to [email protected].
Thanks

This is very good news for Roger. That type of transplant has the least amount of complications and the greatest prospect of long-term organ survival. I bet he will be ready to get back in a car before the season starts on the West Coast.
I wish Roger nothing but the best!
