NEXT CALIFORNIA FORD FOCUS RACE (Dirt): October 4 – Ventura (CA) Raceway

Congrats to Jake Swanson for winning the PRA Junior Focus Main Event. Jake had to step into his cousin Cody Swanson's #71 Goodwine Glass, K&N Filters, Focus Midget after his co-driver Aaron Schankerman flip Jake's #88 Goodwine Glass, Lucas Oil, Orange County Tank Testing Focus Midget in qualifying. The #88 car looks to be totaled but Aaron returned to the track later that night ok. Jake took his 3rd Win of the season with a full straight a way lead. That was the first time Jake ever sat in that car. Congratulation Jake Swanson.

I talked to Aaron today and is doing well. He got a concussion and there is a lot of swelling and bruises in his face arms and legs. He will be pretty sore for the next few days, but his spirits were high when he returned to the track. Who knows though, it could have been the Vicodin? : ) It may be a little while before the #88 Focus returns to action.
