Mini Stocks - Perry Colby, Jr. #5C

Factorys- Brian Stinson #4

Wolfe and Reed, Jr. Failed to start the A due to mechanical problems. Wolfe went up in flames (eng) in the heat, Reed never made it to the heats. Lot's of bending and banging (Well not compared to the mods, but thats another story).

E-mods--Sean Crowell #70. Robert Elliott from Clinton started last and finished 2nd. Some beating and banging. Joe Buntin drove the car Joey usually drives, and kept it up front for most of the race, think he finished third, but I'm doing this from memory, and I've had a few. (Toothache?? What toothache?? Inside joke)

Mods---Greg Burt #66 (again), this guy has been the hot shoe, since he arrived on the scene in Meeker. Brought some of his Enid buddies with him. (Actually Enid was closed, so we got some Enid cars.) Kip Hughes #60 was second. I think (memory again) Randy Bailey was third. Lot's of yellows, lots of banging and bending. Tyler Propps gave them a good run for awhile but retired early (possible mechanical trouble).

Spints---Cody "The Kid" Metscher #91, Fabian second. Fabian led for several, but couldn't hold off Metshcer, who eventually led by a full straight. Very poor car count in this class (where the heck are the sprint car drivers???)

Sorry if I made any errors, but as I mentioned I've been hitting the tootache medicine (whiskey) pretty hard since I got home.

Dont know where you get the beating and banging at. It was all racing from what I saw but just like at other weekly tracks I have visited this year in this state you dont want drivers to race clean but aggressive so you pull out that dayum black flag.

Just like you David, I call 'em like I see 'em. Might have gotten that from the bent-up race cars, and the seemingly endless Mod feature, with yellow after yellow after yellow. Of course opininons are like noses, everybody's got one. As you posted elsewhere dirt racing is a contact sport, and there will be some "just racin' " contact. I thought it was a little rough out there last night. In hindsight, maybe I shoulda said "Lot's of "just racin' ".
