(405) 740-4769 Last Minute Schedule Change for NCRA Late Models This Weekend FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - August 25, 2008 - Park City, Kansas - Due to the last minute cancellation by the promoter at Hutchinson Raceway Park, this Friday nights (August 29) scheduled O'Reilly/NCRA late model presented by ICM/Ethanol has been moved to 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas. This will make two straight nights of late model racing atop the three-eighths mile clay oval as the series will keep their regularly scheduled Saturday night appearance at the track. The drivers will end their Labor Day weekend swing atop the Belleville Highbanks on Sunday night, August 31. "We (NCRA officials) just didn't like the fact that this Labor Day weekend was originally scheduled for four days of racing and this last minute cancellation from Hutchinson Raceway Park was not fair to the drivers who have faithfully supported the series this year," says Chris Smith, NCRA late model competition director. "With the outstanding help and cooperation from sponsors and officials at 81Speedway, we now have at least three nights of racing." Pit gates for both Friday and Saturday night at 81 Speedway will open at 5:00 p.m. with racing scheduled for 7:30 p.m. For more race and ticket information, contact the 81 Speedway office (316) 755-1781. The tracks is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then 0.7 miles west on 77th in Park City. The National Championship Racing Association is entering it's 38th season of sanctioning dirt track races, this year in five different states in its sprint car, modified and late model divisions combined. The 2008 race season will see the series' late model division compete for the 25th season.
