Am I the only one finding the ExtenZe commercials getting "cut off" at the beginning funny?
Okay, I know... I'm lame!

I am just glad there was coverage as I can't be there to see any of it.
That way I can sit here and read everybody bitching about the coverage versus bitching because there was no coverage as I would be the one bitching because of no coverage.
I am thankful for what we do get no matter how the production is. Should try a little more on the positive side of things instead of the negative crap over every little thing that just isn't perfect. Remember we could be back in the days of NSSN on Thursdays giving us the story on how the Knoxville Nationals turned out.

No one is bitching about the races on this post. Just the commercials, and its more like making fun of them anyway. Sheesh. Sean

Settle down, everyone is plenty thankful SPEED televised the event Live... there is absolutely nothing wrong with being critical to encourage improvement. The ratings generated from everyone watching is plenty to show support. If people didn't push for improvement, then SPEED would know there is no reason to provide coverage.

Yep I am plenty thankful they broadcast the Nationals. I am however not happy they had the stooge Ken Stout in the booth. The nationals deserve a shot caller who knows their stuff. Not another color commentator. Rob Klepper was a good choice for the technical elements of the coverage.
Cheers!

What, if anything, did Ken Stout add to the broadcast? He offered nothing in my opinion. He was like having an extra color commentator without a play by play guy. People like Ralph Sheheen, Bobby Gerould, Johnny Gibson make people get excited about the action. Half the time Ken Stout was trying to figure out what was going on...WTF? Watch a sporting event of any other type with a dull and laskluster play by play guy and its apparent you need a talent on the lead mic.
Cheers!

Dude, what do any of them have to say that I can't see with my own eyes. You are probably right about this guy, but from someone who isn't tainted by...I don't know, whatever your problem with him is, he did not take away from my enjoyment of the telecast. Granted it is deferent from hearing our Hosehead brothers but, they are telling us something we can't see. Henry, you have got your prejudices against Ken I'll give you that, but he didn't hurt my viewing. Sean.

Take away the "hat trick" NAPCAR guy in the booth and Mr. Ego in the pits (not Dave), and the announcing crew was a keeper. Mr. Klepper was a nice addition.

they aint bitchin dude - - - they are making fun of it........
the very first post that opened the thread is freakin hilarious. my girl dont get off till 7 - but she'll get off again at 8 if you know what i mean........... ehehehehehe.
i agree though - i didnt think tonights race was all that great - especially compared to what we saw the 4 nights we were there for the 360 nationals ------- but its really onle because the 7 races knoxville had prior were so good - tonite was an ok race i guess. the telecast was ok. like you david i'm just thankful and glad to see sprint cars live on tv. but in the b main i did keep wandering why they were showing the battle for 11th - even after it thinned out - rather than show gary wright and the race for the transfer. and also i was suprised they were not showing the driver appearance thingys or whatever you call it. ya know before the A when they call their names and they walk across the stage? - they talked to some of those drivers - but i still wonder why they didnt show that part? but hey - again - not much to complain about - i got to sit here in the comfort of my home and watch the knoxville nationals with my 9 year old nephew and eat some tacos and a brownie fudge sundae. and hang out with my dogs. they like sprint car racing - especially when their daddy stays home to watch it lol. all this while just gettin back from knoxville a few days ago for the 4 awesome nights of 360 racing there. they better double that purse next year for the 360's. considering that since they started the 100k purse - the crowd has more than doubled - they should at least make it 2.
boy the posse sure had a flop of a week. BRR lucky everyone takin it easy on him right now. as much crap as he shoots off in a variety of ways............ he could get it dished back - but ya know what? brr aint all that bad - or maybe I just aint argued with him in awhile - but I hope he had a good time at the Sprint Car Capitol of the World. matter of fact - I hope everyone did. and i hope everyone makes it home safe. and i also hope that next year all those in attendance to night make it out for the best race of the year. the Saturday night of the 360 nationals
I wonder if the All-Stars will try to run against em next year.
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a

i always like Brad Doty being in the booth. there should never be a sprint car telecast without Brad Doty. i dont know his story outside of what happened to him. but he really loves sprint car racing. you could be watchin it for the first time of your life and you can just tell at the end of the night his passion for it.
and he seems like a really great guy all round and well respected universally. i hope the race they have in his honor gets bigger and bigger. they should make it one of the biggest races in the nation every year. with his knowledge and candor and the general positive nature - it should be no less.

"Dude, what do any of them have to say that I can't see with my own eyes."
Well it might of been nice if Stout would have mentioned the race restart was caused by Tyler Walker jumping the start and was sent to the back of the pack. Then maybe noticing the same driver was blasting from 24th to 10th in 13 laps. There had to be some pretty good moves being put on but viewers will never know because the swamp buggy announcer apparently didn't see a thing.
Later on the pit reporter had an opportunity to ask Walker why he stayed on the track but instead used the opportunity to ask, "what happened to the car." I'm pretty sure everyone already knew the engine blew (my 4 year old grandson did) but oh well, we should all be grateful that they are broadcasting the race. I'm sure the job is much harder then it looks.
Thanks SPEED for putting this on the tube. Some of the visuals were outstanding. The front mounted in car camera shots were the best I've seen in Sprint Car racing. Please improve your broadcast team by maybe putting a knowledgeable Sprint Car announcer in the booth next year. At least they kept Brad Doty in the booth!

Is the TV show rebroadcast and does anyone know when? I wonder how many people watch the live telecast.
