Finish:

Robert Ballou's trailor broke today.

Hoseheads Live is posting results and USACRACING is supposed to have live timeing and scoring tonight.

I believe Kruseman did run Kokomo last week and made the Main and was running well until he was involved in a multi car crash. I had hoped he would be running tonight.

Darren Hagen is also not running with Kunz team anymore and Clayton is running his own car now, I guess the silly season is starting back there now. With $30K up for grand, you would think there would be more cars there. They get more cars for $1200 to win in Indiana for a race, but it is damn hot and muggy back there, and last year they never got to race, but I think there was considerable more cars for this race (maybe 50 could be wrong). I hope T-Mac makes some $ for his effort for the non-wingers.

There is some talk about a non-wing race on the Friday night for the 50 anniversary race among the fans at the Knoxville Nationals to replace the boring format they have. Now that would be cool, to have a real honest to good One day race, no wings race at Knoxville during the Nationals, on the 50th Anniversay and for $50K. Throw in Osky, Midget/Sprint (USAC) week, and the TNT Bandit Series and you got a great Vacation in 2 years. Could it happen. Doubtful. But who ever thought you would see the MOpar Million for Sprint cars. Enough emails and this Knoxville thing could happen!!!!! This talk I think got started by Wing fans LOL

for results and pictures, they have run heat races and qualifers already.

Wished CRA would try this format once in awhile especially when they have a shortage of cars. It allows for more racing, tracks do not wear out in qualifying, and you can start later in the evening so everyone can stay out of the heat a little bit longer. It's not perfect, but if you screw up in qualifying or the track is bad when you qualify, your night isn't ruined.

But some people like to sit in the sun and watch a single car go around the track twice instead of watching an extra 3,4 or 5 heat races, I just don't get it. When I've gone to a race track, the stands generally get full when the track is having a race with multiple cars on it.

I agree, that is a great format, especially with only 20-28 cars. You get a lot more racing in a night. But of course you wouldn't have all that down time to sell those $9.00 beers and $3.75 tacos.lol
