$10K to Win Enid Summer Nationals One Week Away FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July, 24, 2008 - Midwest City, Oklahoma - Just one week remains until some of the top modified drivers throughout the Midwest embark on Enid Speedway Park in Enid, Oklahoma for the $10,000 to win Enid Summer Nationals, taking place Friday through Sunday, August 1-3, 2008. The Southern Sport Mods will also be in competition with $2500 going to Sunday afternoons feature finale. Back in late March, Jeremy Payne of Springfield, Missouri best field of 74 drivers to take home $10,000 during the tracks "Thunder Through the Park" event. A special practice session will take place on Thursday night, July 31, from 6:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. for all drivers participating in this three day event. Official racing actions kicks off Friday night at 7:00 p.m. with qualifying heat races, last chance qualifiers and "A" feature which will see the top five locked into the inside five rows of Sunday afternoons feature finale. Drivers will then come back on Saturday night with the same qualifying heat races, last chance qualifiers and "A" feature with that nights top five locked into the outside five rows for Sunday afternoon. Sunday afternoon festivities began at 2:00 p.m. with last chance qualifying to make up the balance of the twenty-four car starting field for the $10,000 to win finale. Entry fee for the $2500 to win, $500 to start Southern Sport Mod feature is $150 while entry fee for the modifieds is $250. While it is not necessary to pre-enter, it is recommended in order to reserve your car number for the weekend.
