Ted Johnson started WoO and ran it over 25 years. Then he got into a deal with Humpy Wheeler, the owner of several NASCAR tracks. Humpy's daughter was to produce WoO videos for Speed channel, if I remember correctly. They had a disagreement, and after some legal action Ted sold WoO to a company in Norman OK. I don't remember the name at the time, but it became Dirt Motorsports, and later something else. They had race videos on the Outdoor Channel and the Outdoor Channel owned a significant portion of the company stock. Now, WoO is owned by World Racing Group Inc, in Concord NC. I have no idea of who the true owners are. I bought some Dirt stock some years ago, mostly just to say I owned a piece of the WoO. Now, I noticed a few days ago that World Racing Group stock is a $0.15/share. I bought some more, mostly for the same reason. Now if any of you are interested in owning a piece of WoO, the symbol is wrgi, and you can buy it online at TD Ameritrade, or any other online broker. You may lose your money, but if you do, it won't be much. And you can always say you had a piece of WoO.
