I sent a email to one of the higher ups in USAC saying that this region is chomping at the bit for some non wing races. He is trying to put a new image on USAC and bring it more into the nations eyes instead of a regional series. Region being Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. I am going to tell also he might include some Kansas and Missouri tracks in there as well. He is trying to put a new image on USAC and bring it more into the nations eyes instead of a regional series. He wanted to know some tracks that I had suggestions for as places to run non-wing cars. These are the tracks I have down so far. Anyone else think of some tracks to add to this list? If you can put them in this thread and I will send them his way.

-State Fair Speedway in Okc 3/8 mile
-Devils Bowl in Mesquite(Dallas) Tx 3/8 mile
-Tri-State Speedway Pacola Ok. outside of Ft. - Smith Ark. 3/8 mile high banked
-Cowtown Speedway Ft. Worth Tx. 1/4 mile
-OutlawMotor Speedway, Muskogee Ok. 3/8 mile

Lawton and Wichita hosted some great CRA shows in the '80's.

I'm intrigued by the thought of Outlaw. Haven't been there since their second season but I like the facility.

The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway would be great for a non-wing show providing they could get enough moisture in the track.

you first have to have the promoters to want to bring them in, USAC may want a new image but its the track owners who have the final say so on what they want at their track.....DB and SFS will not bring them in as long as Sprint Bandits are here

plus how could you leave Little Rock off your list!!!! Outlaw is too big, keep the cars bunched up for tight racing...small tracks!!!!! thats why they love non wing racing in Indy...thats why i go to Indy every year for USAC

Thanks Eagleye I didnt even think of little rock. I knew I would leave some tracks off. That is why I told him that I would send him another message if I came up with some extra tracks. I knew I would leave some off that is why I posted this.

How can you say keep 'em bunched up?

Manzanita's 1/2 mile is a true 1/2 mile like OKC used to be and offers some of, if no the best, racing you could ever want to see.

Simply put, 410 traditional sprint cars are tremendous on any track you put them on.

Lawton & Creek County could be fun. Just something about Creek county, it's always tight racing.

I would definitley say Creek County. With the track being as smooth as it has been lately it would make for a great race.

I would drive 3 hours from oklahoma city for a non wing midget or sprinter show with 40 cars and maybe 9 or 10 hours for a 2 day 60 or 70 car show. I'm going to try to go to Belleville Kansas midgets on Aug.1and 2. I wanted to go to non wing sprint show in Oskaloosa Iowa on Aug.5 but cant afford that right now. The non wing sprint cars like to jump sideways when you get on it. I think fans would like that. I dont care for Ford Focus midgets. Thanks.
