Gonna be a while before FULL results can be posted. They're re-viewng the tape from the E-mod A Feature. (Gotta wait until after church, though. Scorekeepers gotta go pray for forgiveness (lol)). I'll be posting the other results in a couple minutes.

They're not the only ones who should pray for forgiveness.

For the record, I was joking about the praying.

Black flags in several classes for "rough driving". I got one on the first lap. BMS needs a new flagman, one that understands that there is contact in dirt track racing and one that has heard the phrase "Let'em race".

I got the black flag for getting into a car that had already spun out in front of me. After the race I showed Mark the tape and he said they screwed up.

The good thing about Mark is you know the problem will be addressed, unlike other promotors.

I was right behind bucky during the "quote" rough driving and it was a pretty poor call. I mean it didn't look like you really had anyplace to go.

He's going to hear about it saturday. There's alot of pissed off people from this week's "officiating". He asked this week at the drivers meeting if everything was good or what he could do to make it better. Well, in MY opinion, he should send his flagman to school to learn what is rough driving, NOT rough driving, and what's incidental contact. He also needs to learn that whether he likes it or not, dirt track racing is a contact sport. And learn the phrases "Rubbin' is racin", and "LET 'EM RACE!".

If Mark wants to run a Lanny type track and start running off drivers, this is the way to do it. All he needs to do is hire the rest of the goons from SFS and he'll be well on the way.

Well, Bucky, I don't want to upset you anymore than what you are but from the top of the grandstands it looked like you dozed your way thru without ever lifting. I know it's always different from the driver's point of view and from those of us in the grandstands but that was the way it looked to me.

Be looking for you out there again Sat., keep smilin'! Make them all wonder what you're thinkin'!

There is a problem with the black flag. Its a lose lose situation. If you use is on a driver for rough driving then that driver is mad. But if you dont use it the the driver that got run over gets mad. And if you are to lax on the flag then you get to much equipment tore up and 3 car races. But if you use it to much then you have no racers left. So the question is what to do. be mad for a day or two then get over it and come back, or get mad and never come back. The black flag has gained such a bad rep. The black flag is not only used for rough driving but also to save a driver some money. I cant count the number of times the flagman has flagged a driver for smoking or parts about to fall off and the diver refuse or get mad and start flipping people off. So what do we do about it. Thats what needs to be talked about. JMO. and im sure this post may make some people mad. Sorry....

Dont get mad at me, im just the pushtruck guy.

If you have access to it on tape, look at it again. Brendon brought it to me and we watched it together. To me, it looked like a racing deal. Then again, it was the first lap and I had 20 tear offs stacked on my sheild and had virtually no periferal vision. I didn't see Brendon until he was sideways in front of me. What i did see was Jay Sale turn hard right to avoid an implement tire and I matted it to try to get by him, then I saw Brendon in front of me. It all happened in a split second.

Well Bucky, I know it hurts your feelings when you get it, but I agree with using the black flag because I don't like gettin my stuff tore up, and it'll make a better driver out of you. It don't always happen that way, but I love racing door to door and wheel to wheel with people and never touching. And I think the fans like it to, even though they usually talk more about the wrecks.

Heck, shrug it off and lets go have some fun Sat. night!

Even if you think you got a raw deal, think back to a time that maybe you should of got one and got by with it. That reminds me of when I got a ticket for going 55 in a 45, when I thought the speed limit was 55. I got real mad, then I got to thinking of all the times I was running 90 and never got caught, kinda made it seem like no big deal.

I know what you're saying. My feelings aren't hurt though, I'm pissed off. I was told the flag flag was for "rough driving". There's a difference between rough driving and incidental contact. If I intentionally spin someone or take them out, I can see it. But to get one because the flagman thinks I didn't lift fast enough to avoid someone, that's micro-managing a race and that's bs. Especially with no kind of warning. I've seen the flagman shake a furled black flag at a driver before, He told me he's "Done giving warnings". Who does he think he is? NASCAR???

I got a call today from a past BMS modified champion asking if it was true if I got a black. I told him it was so and he went into a rant about the poor flagging there, and then my cell died before we could finish the conversation.

Also, here's an email I got.......

so what happened w/ you at bms? leroy got blacked for rough driving i guess.... he said he was tired of getting hit.... he said he was gonna have to get off anyhow b/c his brake pedal screwed up.. i don't know if i have ever seen that many black flags.... anyhow, i was just was curious about why you had went off the track... your car looked good to me so i figured you got booted like leroy and several other drivers... i could just be crazy and have totally missed something too... i am good at that these days... well i hope all is ok w/ you and your car.... see you racing the next time... good luck bucky! :D

My reply: Black flagged for rough driving on the first lap..... go figure.

Response: ahh well then... several other cars should of gotten the black but i guess selective flagging was going on...

I'm not just pissed about me getting black flagged, but the trend that's starting to form. I'll be back to race again, and I'll try to make up the 50 points I lost to driver in front of me. I'm not the only mad driver, I'm just the only one taking about it.

Just a thought..... maybe on the first offense just put the "rough driver" to the back of the field and on the second offense send him off the track..... and bucky modifieds and other fender flappers ya "rubbin is racin" but that doesn't go for the sprinters so remember that when you get in the other car man and don't get em confused! lol
