Obama: tracking several points ahead of McCain in the crucial deity demographic
A dozen priests have been chanting around a sacred fire in New Dehli as a group of Indians offered prayers to the Hindu monkey god Hanuman to grant victory to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Several dozen people attended the prayers held at a Hanuman temple saying they believed an Obama victory would bring positive change around the world.
Local businessman Brij Mohan Bhama, who organised the event, said a victory would be good for India and the rest of world 'because he stands for change' and would help stem growing 'price rises, poverty and terrorism'.

I love reading these posts. If it's good for India than I'm in!! Stem growing price rises? The first person to end inflation, awesome. End Poverty? Good tax those of us that work more so that they can stay poor, but get even higher on the front stoop. End terrorism? I guess that was a little "hindu humor".
In all seriousness, I am hardly a right wing nut. My social views are actually very liberal, it's my economic and foreign policy beliefs that typically keep me voting that way. Well that, and my interest in wearing a towel around my waist and not my head, my belief that my money belongs in my pocket, and the thought that if you can't stop the people that use guns for harm, then I sure as hell don't need anyone making it harder for me to keep mine for sport and protection.

You gotta love some of the National Enquirer B.S. you pull out of the woodwork yourself...lol.
Same website also has some other pretty good tales that you somehow forgot to mention... George Bush vs the Witchdoctor, Impaler pledges to impale Bush and my personal favorite Bush twin performs "butt dance"...lol.
Great job of trying to uphold the credibility of the GOP BRR...lol.

i stand by my comment on the happy negro candidate...he is drawing an interesting cross section of support...cubic / OKC12 / muslims4obama and now the HINDU MONKEY GOD!
in order to place a bet with me, you'd have to have the balls to settle up - that would ruin your whole internet mystique...and all the girls would cry!

Don't look now BRR, your "happy negro candidate" seems to be mopping up the GOP. Guess people are fed up with the establishment. Someone who doesn't take lobbyist money and had the foresight to envision the mess in Iraq tends to peak people's curiosity...go figure? Figure out what country your going to have to move to yet...lol?

no mention of the margin of error? mhhhmmm...usually + / - 6% when they call less than 1000 people. i wonder who the LA Times called...maybe Maxine Waters personal friends?
back to your bet - i will PAY a $5 DEPOSIT on ANY $5 BET you wish to call me out on - so long as YOU meet me in the VIP tomorrow night to pick up the money. i trust that you will hold it in good faith as the bet unfolds, as you seem to be an honorable asset to the racing community.
i will be on the back stretch - section A - row R - seats 10-13. just yell hey BRR and i will provide you a seat and racing fellowship with the non-hostile VIP regulars.
if you can't find the where-with-all to appear - you forfeit the benefit of the doubt and will remain a closet Obama supporter like the ones described by your buddy Rendell in February...walk into the booth and vote for hillary instead!
see you around 7:30?

$5? Put your money where your mouth is...loser sends $500 to the Beer Hill Gang this November. I'll take Obama straight up. You never know, maybe the GOP will pull another gay marriage out of their hats? Care to bet on it?

dare you ask him to "shine the light" on lobbyist and global trouble maker George Soros? or would that cut into this unreported funding that has propelled the monkey god endorsement?
From a highly conflicted Associated Press:
Obama endorsed by anti-war group
By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer Fri Feb 1
LOS ANGELES - Barack Obama picked up the endorsement of a leading anti-war group Friday and said Democratic presidential rival Hillary Rodham Clinton still has not adequately explained her vote to go into Iraq.
Obama told reporters in a news conference that, even though Clinton explains how she would like to end the war, her explanation for her vote leading into the war is disingenuous. He said his opposition against the war from the start will make him the stronger rival to Republican front-runner and war backer John McCain in the general election.
Obama’s long-standing opposition to the war helped him pick up the backing of MoveOn.org, a liberal network which counts 3.2 million members and decided to support him by a vote of 70 percent to 30 percent for Clinton. The group said Friday that it has 1.7 million members in the 22 states scheduled to vote in the race Tuesday, and it would immediately begin a campaign to get them behind Obama…
MoveOn.org executive director Eli Pariser said the country needs a president to end the war, provide universal health care, address climate change, restore America’s standing in the world and “change business as usual in Washington.” …
This is a mild surprise, given the intricate intertwining of Mr. Soros and the Clintons.
He and his stooges at MoveOn must have calculated that Mr. Obama will damage the country even more than Mrs. Clinton.
Though it is hard to believe that is even possible.
More likely it’s just more window-dressing to make it seem like Mrs. Clinton has overcome obstacles to achieve her (inevitable) coronation.
And, after all, just like an endorsement from the Daily Kos, a plug from these folks usually means the kiss of death.

Just wondering if his fianacial supporters are happy that he's using their money to pay off Mrs. Clinton's campaign debt?
