This kid has really stepped it up in his sophomore season with the Outlaws.... it'd really be awesome to see him get his first win this year! He definitely is running strong enough. Like Shane Stewart has said... if you put yourself in position to win.. the wins will take care of themselves.

agreed, sometime ,somewhere, things just come together and click,Its good to see someone making a sizeable improvement that is noticed by others , Just because one isnt holding the checkers tonight doesnt mean he isnt on his way , How about(for previous outlaws) Meyers and Dollansky both putting thier chips into the pot, both looking strong

Sam & Dad are also both really neat people. I'm so happy to see him doing so much better - and I guess still without a major sponsor. That says a ton!!! Best of luck to them. We'll all celebrate that first win with the Outlaws big time!!!
By the way - I don't think they considered Sam and Sammy as one of those father/son combinations who both raced - but they should be included.

No doubt! Sam is not only running strong, but also very cosistant. I can not wait for him to get his first win with the outlaws. Keep it up Sam!!!!

Congrats to Sam H. Jr for running well. If I am wrong, I'm sure a lot of people will let me know on here... but wasn't Sammy (yes, Swindell) helping out Sam Jr. last year on the tour at times? Not sure if he has helped him at all this year, but maybe some experience of a veteran helped the team out since then? Great to see Hafertepe running well, a very talented future winner...
Fenders are like vacuums... they both suck.

I do believe you are correct. Sammy Swindell was with them for several races last summer. Like him or not, Swindell was one of the greatest to ever strap in.

If you go to the photo gallery at sam15.com you will find several pictures of Sammy, Sam Jr and Sam from the '07 season.

I think he also had Rick Ferkel helping out in 2006 when Sam was really traveling like an outlaw, hitting various 360 and 410 races across the country. He dropped into an IRA race in Wisconsin with Rick and almost won it, he finished 2nd.

Right resprinter... Rick Ferkel helped him out a bit one year. It's good to see Sammy Hafertepe, Jr. getting help from some of the good ole guys.

This kid is good and he can only get better. My question is could he do as well in someone else car as he does in his dads cars? It would be neat to see him in one of tsr cars or dennis roth car.

dear god why would you put the kid in the TSR #20. he doesn't deserve that. he's already outrunning it now as is lol. JMO but leave him where he is and get him a big sponsor and lets see what the kid can do.
