Unfortunately, it's all about business decisions...The track management is in it for the $$$! They knew that if they ran the sprints BEFORE the mods, then the crowd would be gone after the race and nobody would be left in the stands, no one around to buy their beer, pizza and popcorn, etc. It is unfortunate that the weather and track dried out and it put a damper on the conditions of the track.
The way they ran it, they were hinging on the fact that y'all would have to stick around for the CRA "A" and fill up the concessions while you waited...which I am sure most did, including Triplecrwn...
Bottomline, they don't really care if you have to wait around...that's partly their job to fill it up with "entertainment", even if it is at YOUR EXPENSE!!!

I don't think the PAS Mgmt.make much if anything from the consessions they are hired by the fair board, why are we gripping about how much Mgmt, makes anyway after all I'm sure they are lucky to break even on a weekly basis. But that dosn't excuse the lack of effort to work the track into a racable condition.

Yes, I believe your right rob. It is the Fair Board that gouges the fans for $8.00 beers and $4.00 sodas and other high priced items at the concession stands. And its the Fair Board that charges $5.00 to park. I would love to attend one of their meetings to voice my displeasure at the way they gouge race fans. How does a family afford to go to the race track with those ridiculous prices.

All you people complaining, Dont buy anything, I think most people work, and if you work , you do it to make money, Well Perris is a business , even though its only open once a week its a business, and they are there to make money , if they have to run support classes to bring in more cash , so be it , iam just glad we have a track in so cal , and can see sprint car racing, As tough as things are right now we should be glad there is any racing going on , and just hope Perris is around years from now !!

I hear ya pacecar, and I pretty much don't buy anything from the concessions at the PAS anymore. But I think rob and tripcrwn are right on. The race promoter makes little or nothing off the concessions and parking fees. And the prices are outrageous for what you get. The people who do the least work to to put the race on are scalping us. And I am a capitalist, I got nothing against people making money. But I went to a movie theater today and a small drink was $5.50, a small popcorn $5.50. Worse than PAS prices. I did not buy anything there either. If they would price reasonably they would probably sell more and make more profit. Just one man's opinion.
