Lambert won Shouse Second

Pretty good racing even though there were only 13 cars. Bishop was leading and blew the motor. Lambert started last and schooled every one around the bottom. He took the lead as he passed the 27 8 and 26 car all in the same corner.

Congrats to LD

Eric Cook had a loose fitting on his return line at the top of the fuel cell. It leaked and sprayed until the heat from the inboard rotor ignited the fuel on the last lap.

He was able to get off the track and come to a stop just south of the hot pit. When he got out of the car, his uniform was on fire. He is very lucky. Thanks to the fast thinking of a couple of people, he was put out without injury. VERY LUCKY. The firee melted his right shoulder belt and there was probably about 15 lbs of extinguisher agent in his car.

Check your fittings, we don't need any more fires!

It's not HOW fast you go, but how you GO fast.
