Pre-registration for the first leg of the Ollie's Bargain Outlet 360 Challenge featuring NASCAR drivers Dave Blaney, Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne has been extended through Friday, June 13th. The Registration Fee is just $25.00 through June 13th however it will increase to $75.00 after that date.
"We want the June 17th show to start on time," stated Sharon Speedway owner Dave Blaney. "We are expecting a large number of participants for this event and we want to encourage them to register on line at www.sharonspeedway.com to or via fax at (330) 772-7704. By pre-registering event participants will not only save $50.00, they will also avoid any unnecessary delays on race day."
The Ollie's Bargain Outlet 360 Challenge Series will open at the Sharon Speedway on Tuesday, June 17th and feature NASCAR drivers Dave Blaney, Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne competing against some of the nation's premier 360 sprint car drivers. Each feature event will pay $6,000 to the winner. There is an additional $50,000 bonus available to any driver who can win two of the three events that are scheduled.
"I am really pleased that the Ollie's 360 Challenge will make a stop at Sharon Speedway," said Blaney. "My family and business partners have put a lot of time and effort into making Sharon Speedway one of the best dirt tracks in the country and it's a privilege to welcome a marquee event such as this into our facility. I'm also looking forward to getting into a 360 sprint car again this year."
Pit Gates for the Sharon Speedway event will open at 3:00PM with Spectator gates opening at 4:00PM. Hot Laps will begin promptly at 6:00PM with Time Trials and racing action following.
The second round of the Ollie's 360 Challenge will take place at Stewart's Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on July 8. The high-banked, half-mile oval has a storied history that spans more than 50 years and is a staple in the sprint car universe.
The third and final round of the Ollie's 360 Challenge will be hosted by Kahne and wrap up at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., on August 19. The facility, a favorite of Kahne's, boasts a half-mile speedplant and one of the most loyal sprint car racing fan bases in the country. In 2007, the Ollie's Bargain Outlet Shootout event hosted by Williams Grove Speedway raised more than $75,000 for the Kasey Kahne Foundation. It's a favor that Kahne is eager to reciprocate in August.
