FAAS LEADS MIDGETS TO VENTURA SATURDAY
JUNE 9, 2008 --- Nic Faas won three races at Ventura Raceway last year but this Saturday he’ll try to score his first full Midget feature win at the California dirt oval. All three 2007 wins came in USAC’s Ford Focus series as he claimed the 2007 California Dirt title.
Faas leads 2007 Western Midget Series runner-up Scott Pierovich by 15 points going in to Saturday’s race. Faas and Pierovich finished second and third to Josh Ford at Ventura in April.
Robby Josett of Santa Clarita, Calif. also bears watching Saturday. He now trails Faas by only 32 points in the standings after winning at Ventura May 17.
