Brian Brown headed down under By Gary Thomas January 15, 2007... Grain Valley, MO’s "Blackjack"Brian Brown is invading Australia this week as he’s set for a couple weeks of action in the land down under. A last second deal to run in Australia has come around for Brian and he is ultra excited for the opportunity. "To be able to get out of this freezing weather here in the States and head over to AU and race is pretty awesome," Brian said. During his stint in Australia Brian will be racing for car owner Allan Woods and the Queensland Speedway Spares team. Their first race together as a combination will be this weekends huge Outlaws Down Under 4 event at the Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway in Sydney. Outlaws Down Under 4 is the biggest sprint car race in all of Australia and currently has 81 drivers entered including World of Outlaw super stars Steve Kinser, Donny Schatz, Danny Lasoski, Joey Saldana and Tim Kaeding. ODU 4 is a three day event and packs a nice $150,000 purse. Brian and the Queensland Speedway Spares team will take to the track on Thursday night to kick off Outlaws Down Under 4 and then continue on Friday before coming back to finish the event off on Saturday evening. After completing the Outlaws Down Under event Brian will be back in action the following Wednesday in the Presidents Cup at Avalon Raceway. The next night Brian and the team will travel to Mount Gambier, South Australia and compete in the Kings Challenge at Borderline Raceway. Then on Friday and Saturday it will be off to Warrnambool, Victoria as they run the $50,000 to win Grand Annual Classic at Premier Speedway. Running the Classic will qualify Brian to run this year’s Factory Value Parts World Challenge, held on Friday night of the Knoxville Nationals.
