MIDGETS BEGIN PREPARATIONS FOR KNOXVILLE; RAIN POSTPONES BEAVER DAM TO AUGUST 29
JUNE 2, 2008 --- Inclement weather and wet grounds forced postponement of Friday night’s 7th Mid-State Equipment “Sue Thiel Memorial” USAC Mopar National Midget race at Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam, Wisc. USAC and track officials have rescheduled the “Midget Maynia Tour” finale for August 29.
The Mopar National Midget Series now gears up for the June 20-21 “Knoxville Midget Nationals” at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway. The Pepsi “King Doodlebug Midget Classic” occurs on Friday night and the Pepsi “Knoxville Midget Nationals” Championship is Saturday at the historic oval.
Darren Hagen won last year’s “King Doodlebug” feature and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was the 2008 “Knoxville Midget Nationals” champion.
