fairgrounds speedway with connections in wichita, colorado springs, and amarillo. not talking about the flips, they're not funny. just the cars that flew sideways off turn 4 because of the high wind. the seat belt sign is now on.

Strike Hill and cheese is standing on a street corner with a sign that says will work for engine or engine parts. LOL

the incident cody had in the heat was downright the scariest thing I seen at SFS this year. Peters did the same thing but went over and lookin how hard he tumbled - Cody's woulda been a hell of a lot worse as he was goin a LOT faster.
for those wandering what I am talkin about - someone else will have to explain it - - - I'm kinda at a loss for words to describe it.
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a

It was a good thing that dirt ramp was there when Cody slid up on it!!! Saved the car I would say, might have tore up alot of stuff if it had been the guard rail to stop him!!!

Speed + Wings + Gusty Winds= Flying Sprint Cars
Many of the guys had problems in turn 3-4 from the wind. We always said they could fly, and some actually did. Cody's definitly would of been bad as he was hauling butt into the turn, the wind caught him and he literally took off flying. He had some awesome air time, and luckily the wind didn't flip him over so he landed on his wheels. It was scary as he did look a lot like one of those crazy rockets you buy that take off really fast wobbling through the air and your not sure where it's going to land.

Yeah, no doubt. But don't forget about the ruts, too. They were not very conducive for sliding as several cars bicycled and ALMOST went flying. Cody's was an incredible save for sure. Peters - not so lucky!

Cody's got luck on his side that's for sure.
Ya know what bugs me about these flips? It's the announcer! He brings it up all the time, both here at SFS and at Lawton. He fails to mention who won races at the tracks. He also keeps pushing to buy those the damn videos.

The bad luck we had from the week before kinda paid us back with some good luck this Friday. I sure did see dollars signs flash before my eyes and was hopeing that he didn't get hurt. Sure was glad that bank of dirt was there. He calmed down a little bit in the B feature but a rut in 1 and 2 got us in the A feature

There wasn't a doubt in my mind he would've flipped into the pits on that one. I had a sick feeling turn to relief in a span of three seconds. Peters took quite a wild ride though. Ya know, the track has pretty much sucked all year as far as ruts go. Turn one was better but two had a canyon in it and three about destroyed a few cars. scary.
