KRUSEMAN, PETTY USAC’S OFFICIAL DRIVING SCHOOLS
MAY 14, 2008 --- Drivers of all experience levels, including race fans, can hone their driving talents through instructional programs offered by USAC’s two recognized Official Driving Schools, the Cory Kruseman Sprint Car Driving School and the Richard Petty Driving Experience Advanced Driving School.
Located in Ventura, Calif., the Kruseman school fleet includes Sprint Cars, Midgets, Ford Focus Midgets and Junior Focus Midgets, which enables them to train a wide range of age groups. Basic and intermediate courses are designed to offer the fundamentals of driving a race car, including starting, stopping, braking points, adjustments and most importantly, time behind the wheel. The advanced course is geared toward improvement of the weekly racer or a student seeking a racing career. A driver development program also provides the opportunities for young drivers to experience a professional environment with an experienced team.
The Richard Petty Driving Experience also serves as the title sponsor for USAC’s Carolina Ford Focus Midget Car Series. Facilities across the country host the Richard Petty Driving Experience, utilizing 600-hp NASCAR-style stock cars with four-speed transmissions. Driving experiences and ride-alongs are offered, giving fans and aspiring race drivers the same opportunities for the thrill of a lifetime. Born in Australia in 1987 as NASTRAK, the school received the blessings of the 7-time NASCAR racing champion and in 1994 became the Richard Petty Driving Experience, the premier motorsports entertainment experience in the industry.
