Since no one will probably ever use it, are the
Fuel Restrictions rescinded?

There is one rule change for the Victorville event. maximum of 95db@100'. mufflers will be required. NO SPECIFIC MANUFACTURER. Your choice. Regards,Cary.

I want to start this conversation early ,so we're all on the same page.Knoxville specials ,schoenfeld shorty style mufflers[from what I've read] are 100db@100',so are they legal? The other thing I wondered about is 'Posters',not only to promote this event but to sell at the event.[I'd like to get one to hang in my garage]We could plaster those things up in every auto shop, motorcycle shop, machine shop, parts store, ect. Might bring in more locals....Bigger the better...Still the same cheap entry fee/pit passes/ticket prices as last time? reminded me of the '60s......

Justin, good idea, but now you need formalize it.Get the names of 12 to 15 'under 18' teams to commit to running 5/31.I'd bet Cary Faas would take you serious and consider your proposal. Good luck I hope it works out so you can participate.....by the way the regular sprint car deal [may 25] doesn't have the age restiction..maybe a tune up race if you work this out.

Justin, I spoke with Cary about this last week, he said it will not work for him due to the legal aspect. He or his lawyer can not find any document that would release him from liablity 100%, so he said no to minors running that night. It sure would be great for you young guys to run, I am sure all of you would turn many heads with your abilities. You should come out May 25th and run with us, should be a great car count and great compitition.

May 25th is a Sunday on my calendar. Justin, since your Dad is leading in points at Ventura can you talk the JYD into going to Victorville instead?

sorry guys but i don't think there would be any way to get him to run Victorville on a night where vra is running as well and its pretty much the same for me as i am going for rookie of the year at Ventura and my car owner George Tuttle shares the car with me in the senior class but hopefully the next time that vra is off and Victorville is running we can make it out there i have run there once b4 and i had a lot fun and cant wait to go back now that i have a little more seat time under my belt

I hope nobody takes this personally, but I have a problem with a 15 year old running a sprint car. 17 year old i can almost see, but 14-15-16 year olds? Don't see it.
One thing that gets me is the fact that some of these young racers just got out of 1/4 midgets. Not that they are not talented, because most of them are, but just the fact that they are still children in a adult sport.
In my opinion, 18 needs to be the age limit. One for the legal aspect and two, just the fact that if an adult gets into a heated argument with a 16 year old, the parents are sure to get involved. That is a problem. That was proven to me over and over again when helping friends at the 1/4 midget races over the years.
I know there are talented kids out there, but I have a feeling the rush into sprint cars is purely to pass through on the way to something else.
Now one thing that had been discussed before was starting a 305 series for the kids under 16, a 360 series for the kids under 18 and then let them move on to the 410's. I would support that 100%.
Just my opinion and not intended to upset anyone.

It appears to me,after Eric Severson's Great run 4/19 ,anyone with talent and a good 360 should show to run the 5/31 Victorville Open Comp. Race....You race to be seen ,you will be seen at this event....Looking for sponsers? What better opportunity ..show your stuff....two nerfs and an easy to meet muffler rule and your legal....theres even a tune up race5 /25

I agree with Racer88. Severson was very impressive in his 360. No doubt this young man is a racer. He reminded me of a tenacious Bulldog as he never quit until experiencing some bad luck at the end. We truly enjoyed the race at Victorville as it was intense and featured great racing. Looking forward to being at the next one. Thanks to the promoters.

Severson is almost always the quickest 360 at Perris, so not at all a suprise that he was fast on a smaller track. I'm still betting the farm that a 410 will win all the Victorville "open comp's'. See you all there! !

Maybe he should try the VP-5 fuel this
time roundderound?
I still think a "PushToPass" Nitrous button would
add a lot of National Interest to this race.
By the way, if "PushToPass": was legal, I would kick in $3000.00 to th Main Event Purse.

Great news. Thanks to Faas and crew..... The last race was one of the best of the last few years and I believe the next will be just as good. Again, a thousand thanks for providing the great racing to Cary and crew.

Cary Faas should consider this offer. No one actually has to run nitrous,it just needs to be allowed.Make it closer to a true Open Comp Race....heck there are almost no rules to begin with...
