I thought you did VERY well. Started near the back and ended up 3rd. Not too shabby. Don't think anybody had anything for Stan though, he ran away from everyone.

I've basically quit running at the city to run at Meeker. Mark's just more into letting us racers enjoy racing and understands that we work all week so we can race and if we need a couple of minutes to get a flat tire changed or something else done to the car, he always gives us a few minutes instead of trying to get the show done as quickly as possible. Lanny doesnt give a rat's ass about that.

as a fan I think SFS is still the premier facility, show, and everything not just in the state but in the region. I really like what I hear of BMS though. I just hope all the guys that run there continue to run SFS - as a fan I hope this. I just really hope Lanny doesn't do to SFS what he has done to Lawton.

True that.
I stopped racing the mod at the city last year after only 4 or 5 weeks. It seems the voodoo scoring allows a car that has been blacked flagged to keep it's finishing spot AND a transfer to the A main.
The only reason I'm racing the 2bbl at the city is so I can learn to drive it without having to worry about the big block walls like at BMS.

Many a new driver (or a new driver to OUR track), has had a NASTY introduction to that front straightaway wall, coming out of turn 4 too hot. I have nicknamed it the Brill Monster, after the Big Green Monster of baseball fame. : )

My first trip to BMS was the last race of the '05 season. I had a VERY nasty introduction to the front stretch wall. That was back when it was the raggedy assed guard rail that was there. I cut three tires that night and had to go home on flats as I didn't have any spares.
Since then, Mark Brill and crew have done an incredible job in transforming what was once a forsaken hole in the ground into a fantastic race track.

Many of us (track regulars) also got a "piece" of that Turn 3 & 4 Guardrail! (oh sh**)
I'm looking forward to "not" trying out the New Wall...

Thanks, On behalf of Mark and the whole crew. Everyone involved has worked VERY hard, and I think we can be very proud of what we've done so far, with plans to do much more!!

Yup, the first BMS season we watched cars from lots of classes test the Rockwell hardness index of that wall and a ministock got tangled up in the old guardrail coming out of 4. I stopped by there last winter and chatted with some workers and it's obvious that it was a group on a mission, to improve the track. The widened 3 and 4 and better walls are amazing. The dirt work must be top notch as I haven't seen any whoop-de-doos develop coming in to 3 like in the early days. But then it's hard to tell since I'm not a driver and don't know what's really going on out there. Don't know much about cars or driving but I DID save lots of money going with GEICO rofl.
Off topic, but welcome back Mr. Guinn. Hoping you're healing up on schedule and can strap that sprint back on soon.

I've definately been better, but I'm doing good. They had to do some skin grafts and they are healing up nicely. Just gotta' give it some time... Glad to see a fellow "Choctaw" driver leadin' the points out there!
