Photos from All American Speedway are now posted at:

www.johnsracingphotos.com

This was my first trip to this racetrack. I have to say it is a very nice, very clean facility. It is definitely one worth going to.

I am doing something a little different with my photo pages now. It is still in the Beta stage so feedback is welcome.

Thanks for looking!!

John

Great photos John. Nice meeting you in Roseville. You going to Quincy for any of their events? Troy

Great pictures, as usual, John. The new page layout on your site looks great, too - it loads a lot faster then the previous version.

Thanks for the compliments guys! There will be a little bit of tweaking on the new format over the next few months. I am going to try to add in driver names and make it run as a slide show. I am not sure how easy that will be but that is the goal. Once I get the kinks worked out I will redo the whole site like that.

It was good to meet you to (finally) Troy. Sorry, no Quincy on my schedule as of yet this year.

May 3rd I will be in Kentucky for the Lucas Oil Late Models and June 20th at Skagit for Dirt Cup.

I am really hoping that I can go to Knoxville for the Masters on the 31st of May. I will eventually make it to a race there though.

I forgot to mention if I don't get to Knoxville I will be hitting the Western States Sprints at All American again. That is a 100 lapper that night. Should be a good race.

Cool! Hope you get some great shots. I'd love to make Roseville on the 31st, but I'm committed to shooting Quincy. If anything changes though...............

T-dub, You seem pretty informed about the USAC Western Sprints, and I have a question for you. My father and I took in the race Saturday night at Roseville, and it was extremely entertaining. I have never seen sprints on asphalt before, and boy was it a treat. My question is regarding the guy who led most of the main event laps, Eric Humphries, I thought he did a fine job holding off those two Kaplan cars for most of the race. Where did he come from? I have never heard his name before. Any information you may have, or anyone else for that matter, would be greatly appreciated.

He is from Chowchilla and normally drives in what was once the Winston West and now is called the NASCAR Camping World Series. He was a huge crowd favorite it seemed like. I beleive he raced a stock car in the season opener there.

I remember Humphreys running the Chowchilla 410 Shootout a couple years ago. Think that was his first race in a sprint car and I remember him having a pretty tough time both nights, so I think pavement must be his true calling. Smile Also remember him and Ronnie Day getting into a scuffle in the pits that night during hot laps.

Exactly what John and Gary said! They're both pretty knowledgable when talking about NorCal racing, and can usually always provide info on the drivers in question................

Thanks for the info guys, it is greatly appreciated. I will be curious to see how Humphries does at Altamont this weekend. Should be a pretty interesting weekend up there since the midgets are running as well. I just read on the So-Cal board that Nic Faas is going to running a midget up there, should be fun to watch.

Hope you have fun! Just remember that it's usually always WINDY there, so be prepared for that! Other than that, it should be a great show!

No, I'm not going, wish I could, but I live down south. I will be in Victorville for the open comp. race this weekend. I will be looking out for the results from Altamont on Saturday night though. Thanks again T-Dub, and everyone else, you guys have a great weekend.
