Lap Leaders: Sharpensteen 1-25

Sharpensteen and his SHARP chassis opened a quick ten length lead over Taylor by the third lap.....Timms took over the runnerup position one lap later.....Timms would keep to within four car lengths before making his move to pressure the leader on lap fourteen. Timms looked to ready to take the lead on lap fourteen but the third caution of the feature kept that from happening.....Timms tried again with under five laps to go but Sharpensteen held on to take the Saturday night qualifier.....Richie Tosh had been in the top seven all race long until four laps to go when he coasted to a stop in turns three and four. This allowed Ramirez to hold onto the seventh and final automatic transfer spot into Sunday afternoons $5000 to win/$1000 to start feature

The top seven from tonights "A" feature join the top seven from Friday nights feature (Phillips, Payne, Landers, Holtzkamper, Weder, Tesch and Bone) as drivers locked into Sunday afternoons $5000 to win/$1000 to start feature finale.

They will run a third set of heats, "B" features and another "A" feature, which will take the top seven out of that and add to the drivers listed above. The remaining five will go to the drivers who have the best averaged finish of all three nights, not locked in.

Gates open at noon with racing at 2:00 PM. I hope to be there and be able to post complete results as soon as I get home.

Man,that's going to be quite a field! We will be there.Never thought I would drive 1 hr 45 min to a "mod" race but these guys can drive. As a whole the mod class has more drivers in over their heads than any other class, imho, thereby having a LOT of cautions.O K I'm off my soapbox.LOL

God made dirt,man made asphalt.
