Need some help. My son moved to Austin last year and is looking for tracks there that run
sprint cars. Could be as far away as San Antonio, etc., 360's or 410's. Doesn't look like W of Outlaws or All Stars venture down there. Anyone have any tips? Thanks in advance.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

There's a dirt track @ Killeen that runs midgets on rare occasions. Your son picked a beautiful place to live, weather-wise, but no racing. There is a sprint car racer who lives in Georgetown who your son might be able to get with - help him out and ride with him to the races.

I think jah42 hit the nail on the head.
The Gulf South will have like 19 races in Texas. Sooner Region will run Cowtown, Boyd Raceway, Devils Bowl, and Waco's track.
The National Tour (ascs) - will run a weekend at Cowtown and the Devil's Bowl Spring Nationals - I think both those weekend are in October in successive weeks.
But your boy should highly think and delegate trips up to Oklahoma. Lawton would be the closest to him...........ok wait he lives in Austin - well that would be perfect to catch this weekends races.
ASCS Sooner @ Heart O Texas Speedway in Waco - and then the next night (saturday) is at Cowtown Speedway in Kenndeale Tx.
Man I'm anout ot have to go for wrok hence the fast mesde up typing. but you and your son - make SURE one of ya e-mail at [email protected]. Thanks to everyone for your help. I am forwarding the info to him. Being a lifelong Manzy fan, he misses some good old sprint car racing. According to the Speedway directory there are a lot of tracks in Texas, just nothing to close or including sprint cars. Thanks again.
