FOCUSES AT IRWINDALE SATURDAY; MIILLE GRABS 2ND USAC VICTORY AT LAKE HAVASU CITY
MARCH 24, 2008 --- Ian Miille of Pleasanton, Calif. is eyeing a third career USAC California Pavement Ford Focus Series victory Saturday as the 2008 series visits Toyota Speedway at Irwindale (Calif.). Miille scored his initial USAC win at the 1/3-mile paved oval which operated as Irwindale Speedway last year.
Miille passed series rookie Brendan Langlois on lap five and led the final 25 laps of last Saturday night’s feature at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Justin Hommel finished second ahead of Brennan Newberry, Langlois and Alex Bowman.
The win left Miille, who was sixth in last year’s final series points, leading the 2008 standings going into Saturday’s Irwindale race.
