Great
Wild Saturday night in Ventura. A bitter cold wind blew hard and long
as fifty-two sprints choked the racetrack. Somebody wrote a check for
rain but the sky wouldn’t cash it. Assorted Ford Focus, Junior Focus
and Sport Compacts hustled around the dusty pits looking for a little
respect. Only the most hardcore fans were admitted to the frozen
stands. The talented Ventura track crew threw down another extreme
round of heats and mains. And through the vicious tearing wind and the
dry hard slick, dedicated fans got to witness a special VRA Sprint Car
Main Event. A rookie seized the moment, burned a hole in the ice and is
now floating towards his destiny. Eventually, only one nickname will
