They can't get a sponsor. They are going to auction everything off. Since 74

Bet they would have sponsors falling all over themselves if they ran non wing and winged 410's at Knoxville, Chico, Eldora, Lincoln, The Grove, Skajit, Osky (non wing) Husets and Little Rock. Oh wait .... that's just a dream ... seeing Helio Castro Neves, J.P. Montoya and the Bush bros. in a sprint car?? I'd wet myself laughing..

as much as everyone put down Humpy Wheeler for his creation, I think the closed wheel roadster he was touting a few years ago could find a good home.
It could run a variety of tracks including Eldora and Knoxville without much more than a spring/tire/gear change and provide a happy medium in between Indy guys, NASCAR guys and dirt guys.
Smoke...got any spare change? Two years ago you were willing to give Signore back the million if he would race at your little joint in Ohio...would you be interested in taking it a step farther?

I think you have it all wrong. The "spec" car series formerly known as IROC is alive and kicking..they just call it NASCAR now. Spec tires, spec shocks, spec gears, spec bodies/windows/"spoilers"...changing the rules so everyone makes the same HP...oh, I'm sorry..they allow some lee-way in the shape of the headlight stickers.
