Big news is brewing for the All Star Hoosier Fall Classic...this is the big one we've all been waiting for. I'll have more details coming out hopefully by this weekend. If you have ever been involved in the OH vs PA debate (who hasn't?) then you might want to take note of this one...stay tuned.

L'burg is so close to the Ohio line, if the wind blew a little harder from the west it would be called the Buckeye Fall Classic. Anyway - it looks like it will be BIG from what I am hearing from those involved in the planning.

It is close to the line. I'm from Northern Indiana and when I went down there for the first time I missed my turn and ended up going through both Kentucky and Ohio in about ten seconds before I turned around.

I thought the Pa/Ohio debate was settled in Fla this past week!!! LOL Just look at the All Star points right now.

How could they have a race to settle this in Indiana??? Lernerville/Sharon --MAYBE

Later, JERSEY

The most important aspect of what will happen is that you'll see tracks working together with a sanctioning body to make an event that will benefit sprint car racing. Novel idea that's to be commended. It will be a "can't miss" event in Lawrenceburg.

Jersey - this one will (hopefully) attract the big guns from Ohio who didn't leave the porch to go to FL either. So in addition to the All Stars we're looking to attract guys like Reed, Keegan, Gressman, Ivy, Linder, Chaney, Jacobs (Dean, Lee, & Kenny), Stinson, Blonde (from MI but races more in OH)...and the list goes on. Then subtract Donny Schatz and the big budgets of the WoO who will be elsewhere that weekend...put them all in a bullring...and you have the makings of a TRUE Posse vs Ohio match up.

I will expect to see you there, Jersey!!! I had fun hanging out with you last year!

Thats cool and I agree with you 100 % , John K.

Swampy your right, but could they put the race on the other side of Ohio? Last year was neat. Port/OH Speedweek (I still think Waynefeild was awesome) Yeah yeah, good times.

And how is Coach doing? I should give him a call. Did he recover from that flood yet? That sucked

Later. JERSEY

PS- Sorry, I had to bust your chops!!! and on the grove website too

The idea is to take a big event and make it bigger...timing wise most area tracks are wrapped up or close to wrapped up for the season and the track championship points chasers will be free to race at L'burg. The goal is to attract all the big guns that we can from the 410 world in OH and PA. Why in Indiana? L'burg has an awesome facility and seating is huge. Why not Eldora? Many just won't go race there. Lernerville would have been a good choice to meet in the middle...but it is a big 1/2 mile motor track. This is about drivers...not who has more horsepower! L'burg Speedway is behind this deal and the City will be supporting it as well. If you've never been there - it is one of the NICEST dirt track facilities I have ever been to. With the track being reconfigured to a banked 3/8 mile for 2008 - its just that much better.

I don't think Bob floated away, but he was a little concerned about another flood while he was in FL.

Don't worry about busting my chops...I'm used to it by now. LOL wink

Ole coach is still bobbing huh? Good

Yes, I have been there, with ole Bob-bo sitting next to me. Nice place, and if they make it like KC, it could be one of my fav's.

I got to get some sleep, I have a funeral to drive in the AM and I don't want to look dead!!! Thats stupid LOL

Swamp, fortunately we didn't get it as bad as the weathermen were predicting here in good ol' Bucyrus so hopefully all of Bob's stuff is ok and dry this time around.

For the record, it is "Bue-cy-rus" but more often than not, a lot of us say "buck-ee-rus". God, it's great to be a BUCKEYE!
