I've heard through the grapvine that there'll be some illegal heads for the sprints on the track this year at SFS. Though that's nothing new. But what can, if anything, be done to police this sort of thing? I mean there is no teardown rule at the track for the sprints. Can a driver protest something that the track doesn't enforce? What really sucks is that someone has to stoop to that level to win a race and yet feel good about themselves. Bastards!!!

It's been like this for years man. People have port and polished and changed valve angles on their way to victory but nothing will be done. It is very sad, I must agree. Are you going to start another thread for fuel or just include it in this one.

Several organizations have tried Spec Engines, but it seems the complaints then turned to the builder and the tech inspectors.
Spec Fuel is used in several sanctions/events.
Spec Tires and other visible items.
Does not seem to matter how much SPEC equipment or sealed engines are used, there are always inovators that push the envelope.
Much eaiser to have rules and specs when dealing with a few brands. We have multiple brands, manufactures, and from a dozen different countries with the Powersports races. Very difficult to set standards and equipment rules when most people have never even seen the inside of a dozen of the engines in competition on a given night. Good luck finding a tech person with all that knowledge and specs to run dimemsion standards by. About all you can do is measure displacement with the newer Asian engines coming in every month.
Afterall it is Racing and performance competition, isn't it?

The track is mis-shaped, you have to cheat to get through those corners quicker.

Yeah..... the rules don't say you can put air in your tires. Does that mean you can't?
It's not HOW fast you go, but how you GO fast.
