As a "little racefan", I can really appreciate Larry's passion for his hobby. Maybe one day Fred's investment in Panama will provide enough funds for his son to go back out there on the national scene where he can once again be a tiny fish in a huge ocean. Meanwhile, Villain will just have to perform for all of us fans who "think" they know drivers and owners.
Oh, by the way, those threatening e-mails Larry sent were awesome! If Villain would like to find me this coming weekend to once again threaten to kick my ass, I'll be at Manzanita watching the drivers he only wishes he had the stones to be like.

Lil fish? I think you need the read the results and point from the only year I tried for the ascs championship. I had 3 dnf in a row thanks to motor builder and stiil only lost the championship by 20 something points.
As for threatning you I never did. If I wanted to fight you I would just fight you. Win, loose or draw I do everything to win. Guess thats why I compete and you watch?

It was a post he had on hoseheads about black wheels. It was nothing and he is right racing needs spectators it just wears me out that alot of the guys in the stands think they know drivers or owners. For the record.....I love the little racefans who really just enjoy the car colors and the racing but I would run my car in a field againts other guys just to win and feel the rush. When I strap in I have no idea if there are 5 fans or 50,000 in the stands.
I also appologise if anything is misspelled on this or any post!
LOVE YA'LL!!!!!!!

For anyone who doesn't think Larry means it when he says he would run his car in a field, here he is about to run it in a swamp at Kellyville....ran third to a cottonmouth and a terrified snapping turtle, but they knew the track and had better setups. The one I don't understand is the night he went looking for a race in the front row
of the grandstand at SFS.

naw I didn't get my feelin's hurt at all. I just gave an opinion in reply to another. although I imagine certainly the respect level of both posts was rather low.
Dude I'm not really remembering what I put on the black wheels topic on the Hoseheads National Forum..............guess I could look at it in a sec. and see what was offensive about it. But if there was something offensive or more importantly something disrespectful in what I wrote - or even if it sounded like a know-it-all type a thing - I certainly didn't intend it to be. Although I've gotten better at it - or maybe just keep gettin older - I try more to think before I speak. It was just kinda ironic gettin questioned in such a way after readin many many posts of , well it don't much matter anyway.
But it ain;t no prob - just read it, reply, then go on about my job or day pending the time. I can't be foolish enough to take it all to heart or too seriously - got more important things to ponder bout. I don't think I've ever really thought about my contribution to racing - I just like it a whole lot and thats bout the only way I ever looked at it. In closing, man I think colorful statements can sometimes be amusing or funny and all that.............I've prob. ranted more than most (seriously I probably have) - but I still try not to forget the majority of the reason I ever log in here - it's all to talk, listen, and even learn bout race related things. and with that in mind................

"Those who sacrifice liberty for temporary security deserve neither - and will lose both" Benjamin Franklin
Obama 2008
Maybe you should take another look at your political thoughts. Obama voted for the Patriot Act and that does nothing but "sacrifice liberty for temporary security!"
Cody Brewer

Cody Brewer - I agree 100% that the patriot act was crap. but at your insistance I did 2nd check. Barack Obama was voted into the United States Senate in 2004..............was in the Illinois State Senate for 8 years prior to that. now I'm not 100% sure - but I think the Patriot Act was voted on within a year after the Sept. 11th attacks (which woulda been by the end of 2002). Even if not, they were voted on well before 2004 - and with that in mind - IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IMPOSSIBLE FOR BARACK OBAMA TO EVEN VOTE ON THE ACT (unless state legislatures were allowed a national vote) - I think maybe - at least for information purposes - we should both check that when we have the time, since it matters at least somewhat - to both of us and what we think. but I don't think Obama was even in congress when the Pat. Act was passed. I think it kicks ass that you have an interest in current affairs. no matter ones opinion its a good thing to be open and active in issues that directly affect us. rock on...................
on the gas - man I looked at that post and I'm not quite the sure the prob with it. other than maybe how I put it (an admittedly bad habit). thats JMO. with limited (emphasize limited) knowledge - yeah I think better rules should be in place to lower costs - instead of upping the purse alone. now I think upping the purse is a good thing - but geez think how much one would have to raise it to even out the costs. I wouldn;t ever say I'm fully aware of what exact things could be done - but I think if more had a long-term philosophy with lowering costs in mind - it could be a very good thing for the sport. I'm sure anyone on here that has ever owned or driven a car - or worked with folks who have - knows a lot more about it than I ever will.

The only things I know about Larry is the things I've heard that are probably just rumors. I don't form opinions about anyone until I meet them but then one night as my wife and I were walking through the pits he rode by on a back of a mule and said nice ass to my wife as he drove off. I appreciate the comment and now I think he is cool. Way to go Larry! Here's to wishing you another great season and best of luck to one day growin' up a little.

Come on now David. You know it's just winter time blues everybody is suffering from right now, and with the season getting closer, everybody is starting to get the itch to go out and have some fun. We could hope (haha) that maybe everybody will blow off their stream before the season kicks off, and we could all enjoy a good racing season.

Panama, Costa Rica one banana republic looks like another. I do admire the investment though, very wise. I wish I had the means to do such.
Now Dave, why delete this post? It's your buddy Larry that started with the profanity.

ok I'll hand it to you. it was something he supported. but at the same time - I don't feel I should not vote for him for that............ and you might understand - that if we are all lookin for candidates that we 100% agree with - it's like lookin for a needle in a haystack or tougher. Best I can do is look at the candidates left (right now there are 3 with a chance) - and go with the one I agree with and like the most. It's better to pick who one thinks would be best than to sit out because each have held a point of a view or something that one didn't like. Voting is a large part of civic duty - along with discussing issues with other citizens - hence my appreciation just for the interest you obviously have. Never saw a politician - or any person for that matter - that I 100% agree with. I guess when it comes to Barack Obama - I just like him more than Clinton (for a billion reasons - most notable her loyal work for wal-mart) - and Mccain (messed up immigration policies - and also has almost identical foreign policy thoughts as Bush). If I was registered republican I would have most definitely voted for Ron Paul - but I'm not.
I'll leave it at that - because frankly both of us same name fellas have a lot of time left in life to talk politics................for now I'll agree with you that the Patriot Act was messed up and unconstitutional - and hope that we can get local, state, and national candidates who are opposed to it - as thats the only way to ever change it.
