Released today on the USAC website, the Western States midgets are running a doubleheader with the USAC/CRA sprints at Calistoga on Labor day weekend. This is going to be an awesome, history making show, and I for one can't wait!
SUPPORT WILDLIFE, go to a sprint car race!

That's going to be some show, heck it might even be enough to make be go back to the Golden State, just for the race though LOL Maybe catch a few waves on the way out. Old surfers never die, we just loose our waves... Man, more than a few of use have been wondering if this would ever happen.

I have been waiting for this annoucement for awhile. Although I like the WOO at Calistoga, this may be one of the best moves that track has made in a long time. Combine that with the Gold Cup starting on Wednesday the following week and it is going to be an awesome race week in NorCal.
Now if they could have Ocean host USAC/CRA on the way up on Friday night and Placerville on Monday/Tulare on Tuesday......
No matter where I am living by then I will be back in CA for that week.

Why doesn't CRA/USAC host events in NorCal? I know it's 410 & 360 wing country but it seems there are lots of non-wing fans in the area. I wonder whey there haven't been CRA/USAC shows at Ocean, Peataluma, Placerville and Chico? I bet the place would be packed if they had a date. I like your idea of a show before or after the Stoga' date.
